[R&F] Does the game tell you when your governor is neutralized?

One of mine is neutralized and I don't remember getting a notification, but maybe I just missed it...
 
It does, and it sucks. Your governor is in limbo for 10 turns.
 
Yes it does, what it doesn't do is tell you when you can use him/her again. Would be nice if it would automaticly return to duty.
 
I'm pretty sure I got notifications on them being neutralized and ready to return to duty.

Does this depend on the speed? I think mine was in limbo for 6 turns, on standard speed.

Notification for being neutralized was in hard to miss bright red, maybe I missed the ready again one.

I've had various penalties, I think they might be higher the more promotions they have or higher in later eras. Not sure.

It might also have to do with the level of spy that neutralised him? No clue either : )
 
I wish you could eliminate Amani in city states though.
You can? If you send a spy to the city state you can neutralize governor or envoys.
