Does this game have music??!!

I'm not getting any music during gameplay, but I get that awsome music at the main title screen. Is it a bug? or it doesn't come with music during gameplay?

hmm, i never thought about that much, but now that you say it I don't think I had any music during gameplay. The music at the titlescreen plays good, but I can't remember any music when actually playing. Ofcourse, I have this extreme lag wich make the game unplayable, and also stuttering wonder movies, so the music wasn't the first thing I would notice.

It only kicks in if you're idle, I think ...

In my one and only game so far, the music gets louder as you approach one of your own cities, and fades out as you move away. I actually think it's rather cool.

That's the "city music". If you zoom far away enough, that music should change to the actual game music, which is a pretty good soundtrack, I think. If you zoom above the clouds, you won't hear any music at all.

I've had some problems with the music myself. In the beginning I thought there was none. Since the time I enabled some of my own "custom" music in the sound options, and then disabled it again, I've had the Civ4 music playing just fine, altough there have been some exceptions when it hasn't. At those times the change of an era has always got it playing again, though.

Sometimes the music stops playing for a while. I've noticed this happeneds in other games not just Civ 4.

Music stops sometimes, but there definitely is some very rich music while you are playing.

the zoom in music is actually different for each civ it seems

The only music I hear is the 2K support line "on hold" music.
