DoF and Denoucments, should they be in MP?

I was always wondering, while it's generally a small flavor to the game, MPs do lack Denoucements and DoFs against Human Players, and while they have a very small impact, if you do in fact play against AI players, that affects the game!

If I denounce Human Player 2, who was denounced by AI PLayer 1, I get a relationship bonus with that AI Player right?

So why can't we do those agreements? Not only would they give me more flavor in Hotseat games, but they could potentially make MP games more intresting (that is, if they ever FIX the AI there, is it me or do AI completely avoid HUman players in MP games?)

The AI is completely lifeless in MP, never interacting, making mixed games pointless. I wish they would fix this as I like to play these sort of games but I don't have my hopes up. In fact, a recent interview said how they were deliberately turning off human-AI espionage interactions in G&K during MP, making me think they have no intention in making MP AI comparable to SP AI.

Honestly, MP AI should function entirely like SP AI, DOF and denouncements and all. Otherwise, what's even the point of allowing AI slots?

True, but you're missing my point.

In the perfect world, should the DoF/Denounce work in MP IF AI would even work properly?
 
I wish we had these just so I could keep track of who hates who. When I play hotseat against myself, I often forget who stole who's settler :lol:

Do what I did, use MS Excel, make it either 1-way relationship (you add/modify mutually, meaning that if one declares war on the other, they both hate each other equally, if one steals a settler, they both get the "dilpo hit"

(Had it not been for my sh...bad comptuer that can't handle a 12-player game I'd be playing it, but maybe soon)

But yes, I had 2 situations where a DoF/Denoucement was very helpful, one where Augustus was gettging very close with Catherine and Wu. And once when Askia and Alexander (or Alex and Oda) both could denounce the other one.

It's a very excellent Roleplay, especially since you're more aware of deals comign in/out (you notice when a deal is cancelled and you are very unlikely to omit or not pay attention)

With the inclusion of the necessity of having "good relations" before being able to engage in research agreements in the new patch, I think it's a great idea to include denouncements in MP.

I.E. A warmonger attacks a player; you denounce him -> you will be able to do a RA with the player that was invaded since you denounced his aggressor.
 
Multiplayer should work exactly like Single player i believe. Or maybe i say this because i only play Multiplayer :). Nothing better than having at least an additional human player in the group, it kills the robotized boredom that comes with addiction to Civ.
