Good morning Sir,

Every Nation on Earth, even the ones you've been really nice too, have declared war on you.

Thank you,
Have a nice day.

How is that, I already had DOW them as I met them, did they not get the word?

Funny...stuff.

I was attempting a 20K game..thought I was well on my way...should have built more units :)

I'm playing with 20k and have had the same experience. With your capital tied up, your expansion suffers, leading to attacks. Using another city, even one 4 tiles from your capital takes building a settler and also has some corruption, which means losing some nice wonders.

Decided to try one of those myself just recently. Damned Babs wonder-swiped both Bachs and Copernicus from me before I got them completed, one by only 2 turns

As soon as I get some good boats and tanks, I'm going to have myself a little Hammibarbeque. Worse, all the useful wonders have been built on other continents. The four idiot civs with whom I am still begrudgingly sharing my continent have completed two wonders among them  The Zulu even managed to lose the Great Wall (along with all the cities that they didn't lose to me) to Xerxes. Now that takes talent. And we all know how talent and Shaka go together. :sarcasm: Oh -- correction from earlier... I now only share my continent with three idiot civs

On a positive note, my neighbors to the east, the Americans, just completed one of those two wonders... Magellen's of Boston. Too bad they don't have any iron to defend it :mischief: At least I'll be able to get to Hammi's island one turn faster.

For these problems, I suggest playing on archipelago maps for a non-XOTM 20k game.

For these problems, below Sid level, I suggest playing an expansionist tribe.

And don't play against the Babs in a culture game... play WITH them :)
