A lot of empires before the modern age, even during, subdued rival nations through fear. (do as i say or i will destroy you). I suggest, and want to know if it would be possible, to add a new diplomacy option, when you are at war. It could be a way to force another civ into something similar to a permanent aliance, but one where they give you all science discoveries, all gold per turn and generally do everything you want.
This would be a quicker solution to win than capturing every little city a nation has.
However, if your nation meets another empire, who is just as strong, the new empire could enter 'secret' talks with the enslaved nations, and potentially get them to rebel/cancel the aggrement they have with you.
This would be similar to what the Spanish did to the Aztecs.
Would it be possible to create a mod like this? and if so what do you think?
