there should be a resource manager where there are different types of resources...energy,petroil,wood and so on;theyr usage is connected to technology level (petroil in aincent age?lol),

The new idea i propose behind what i've seen has been posted is the possibility to improve them (iron->steel for example,or steel->poor uranium for bullets)

i mean something like Deadlock II...

There already is a "Resource Advisor;" namely the Trade Advisor. As for your second idea, there's no point to it. You can just assume that your workers use Iron to produce Steel once the appropriate tech is discovered (the performance bonus is represented by additional units available through the Steel tech tree). And what's with Steel > Poor Uranium? Aside from the fact that Steel is not a component of Uranium (Uranium is a naturally occuring element that is mined from the ground), Uranium is not used in bullets.

yeah i agree. The only new resourse should be wood.(maybe) It's weird how you could build a road or a bank in the middle of the desert with no connectiong roads.Or you could build buildings that require wood just be have a forest or jungle in city radius being worked

Umm, actually 'depleted' uranium is used in modern ammunition, to increase the penetration without increasing surface area-if I remember my VERY BASIC ballistic knowledge correctly!!

True, but its only used in limited amounts due to the limited availability of depleted uranium, hence its not used in small arms munitions (and possibly because of the suspected health hazards but im not 100% sure). In any case, Mewtarthio's comment still stands, Uranium is not derived from Stell at all.

Yeah, ASFAIK depleted uranium is used only in tank shells and sometimes in Miniguns for the AC-130 Gunship. But I agree with Mewtarthio, steel does not change into uranium, nor is it a component of uranium.
