Doomed Galactic Journey (Game Thread)

Oh, right, your PM said you were the thief. I keep thinking of it as being Abgar due to how he was described in my PM about him. So you never used the last vial of vaccine? What happened to it, then, and the one from Charles Li? Did Splime just evaporate them once there was no one sick anymore? :p

If any rebel tries to kill you, they get killed instead.
Mutters something about 'being so stupid'

And why'd you rebels have to go and kill Winston Hughes? We had the beginning of a beautiful relationship going.

 I was fairly convinced it was you that had me killed, and continued to believe you were one of the villains until the last couple of days. Perhaps it was a good thing I died so early.
Oh, and I can't believe Ronin was actually telling the truth about his battery! That's half the reason I suspected him.

It's funny how Ronin and I targeted each other on the first night. I didn't know he was a rebel, of course, although I was a bit suspicious (mainly because of his job title). I was actually planning to blackmail him.

In any case, the game would've gone quite differently if the rebels had converted me instead of killing me on that first night.

I dunno. I stole the vials and downed one of them myself, then passed them on to Abgar on day 4 because I wasn't sure I'd live through that day. I believe Abgar tried to get rid of the last vial once he was accused on day 5, but I'm not sure of it.

Hahaha. If you had lived, I would have scanned you rather than LightFang. Could have been interesting. :D

What did I do to arouse your suspicion?

I was lying low on the first night because I did not want to alert the innocents to a thief yet - I was first trying to get some heads up on the items before people would become more careful with their items.

Once you acted on Ronin I knew that everyone would be alarmed of a thief and tried to steal every night, until I was locked away. I stole the vaccins on a random guess on the second night, but the third night I got nothing. I knew of Love's identity as the repairman through Abgar, but we hoped that it was an item that gave him that ability and stealing it would leave the saboteur free. That plan backfired because it wasn't item-related.

I actually was very suspicious at you Renata, I thought that you could have made all up along with Lightfang, tricking a bunch of innocents in voting wrong, and I thought you killed me :p

So what was the point of my disease again ?:p

It was eradicated by the vaccines. Otherwise, people would have died 4 days after contracting it. (You were an exception that was immune to the death part of the disease.)

scherbchen had the vials in the end, as they were in the crate of chemicals. The crate also included bottles of liquid that intoxicated people into drinking it, and subsequently becoming drunk.

No one thing in particular. Just a general air of suspiciousness. :p

I love being suspected when I'm not actually guilty. :D As long as I still get my way, of course.

Just so you all know, there will probably be a Journey to Nowhere II, but not until July because I'm working on another project for this month and one week next month, and then I'll be away for the last two weeks of June. I will, however, be able to reveal what this project is soon. There's just a few things that need to be done first.

I'd like it to be known that I called out no less then TWO guilty guys on my own, without being a prophet. Even if one was only called out to renata.... I did actually intend to lynch you the day you died Ronin

I used it on Tasslehoff. Mostly to spite the rest of the ship. Not that it mattered, the disease was pretty lame from the kill people standpoint.

Sorry about lying to you in that PM. I didn't want to give up PaulusIII, but at the same time I needed to stay alive for another night to sabotage the warp drive. I knew it was a really long shot, but that one extra night might have helped.

I have a question though. You said you found out I wasn't innocent on the 3rd night, what took you so long to kill me? I actually assumed you knew I was non-innocent since you stopped PMing me, but was confused because I figured I would get accused.

*cough* you're not the only one to do that. *cough* (Nictel and Ronin)

Great that we made it in one piece. At least some of us.

It was my first Online NOTW and it took me a while to gte used to the completely diffferent flow of the game.

PM completely changes the communication structure of a game for both parties. Luckily Mergle drew me into that and afterwards I had a communication network with Love, Renata and Mergle.

I totally fell for Renatas "I have a loaded Prophet here and I am willing to use it" act.

I was luckily that ronin got killed in night 3, as I would have defended him against vanguard again and then probably would have been lyncched myself sooner or later.

The endgame was tight, but very interesting. Renata was always asking for my suggestions and doing the opposite of it *fg*.

Anyway I enjoyed it very much and plan to take part in a fw more of these.

Greetings

Kulko

I wanted LightFang to do the dirty work of revealing the existence of a prophet and pulling together a voting alliance, so I could stay out of it. But he didn't have time, and by the time I resigned myself to that, it was too late in the day to try to arrange a third bandwagon (Paulus and CCRunner already being up for execution). So the next day I did it myself.

I didn't actually stop PM-ing you (or rhawn, for that matter) because I knew you were guilty; I was just so busy stressing out about CCRunner maybe being executed that I completely forgot about the scientists.

Guilty as charged.

Yay innocents!

It was indeed the whole battery-thing that caused me to blow Ronin up. I figured that as the power core could be sabotaged, dooming the androids in the same way that the ocygen would doom the humans, a rebel android had to have a failsafe power supply. So when Ronin failed to deactivate and then fialed to answer my PMs pointing it out (I didn't go public as if the rebels *didn't* have an android I didn't want to tell them how to finish them off)...

And yes, I was the secret votes. Ironically, I swung Diamondeye the leadership because Renata worked with Abgar who struck me as ultra-suspicious (so maybe I'm developing a nose). Then when people tried to stop androids getting batteries with nonsense about "studying" the battery, I felt my suspicions confirmed. I really didn't trust renata till the last few days as a result, which is why my secret votes tended to go with the diamondeye faciton, despite his seemingly random targeting and retargetting (which tendency convinced me CCRunner was guilty and pauls inocent right until the oxygen ran out!)

My other criterion for secret votes weas to avoid it being obvious who was placing them as I figured I'd be dead metal then. Hence trying to give abaddon the battery (if he was a rebel, he prob. didn't need it, if he wasn't I was doing good) rather than myself.

Post ronin's death I attempted to rally the androids (I figured one rebel android was enough and I was correct enough to make this a smart move). This connected me via love to the prophet circle and I threw my lot in with them, whilst keeping my options open in case I was being hoodwinked (hence still distrusting CCRunner).

Reallly, I kept to my plan, which was "Pay-no-att-en-tion-to-the-an-droid-be-hind-the-cur-tain-with-sill-ly-speak-ing-patt-ern-he-is-clear-ly-no-threat"
