Yah, I think that's what he's saying - I posted a couple of times on this - one that it will turn players off not be able to afford most of the civics and 2 the AI uses them all early in the game and is at a disavantage militarily. Suggest a cheap civic for each catagory.

I did not yet start a game with the new version 1.5.
Perhaps a thought for the next version is putting the techs for building the space ship at the very last part of the tech tree otherwise we never play with the futuristic units.
Another thought is not making the mod too heavy otherwise you get the long waiting times as visa 3 or TR.
Success with the mod ( Iam now busy finishing an game ffh2, your mod 1.5 is my next challenge !)
 
what do you think about an early corporation or few that doesn't produce too much wealth but is a more of a flavor - maybe you need this corp to produce a unit too and the corp expires at some point. - some real nice icons are availabe in bts. Guilds + something Templar Guild - requires gold. Currency + calender Maurya Traders- requires spices (and camels? - hmm something to improve desert terrian too!). Banking + something Silk Road -requires silk. There are a some later ones you can add also -Dutch East India Company -1602 and the Hudson Bay Company May 2, 1670 (shouldn't expire as it's still in business today) - all these companies should also produce units as they all had their own military. Rome also had state sponserd corps, I can't think of any off the top of my head, but if you like the idea I'll find one.

spreading corp - you can't spread these early corp by exe - its spreads naturally and rarely.
Cool just found McDonalds, Coco Cola, GE and others in the Charlemagne folder.
 
New religion or a replacement religion sun god – Almost all cultures worshiped the sun at one point or another in time – so having this in the game would be a lot more universal than let’s say Buddhism or Hinduism that dominate the religions right now.

You could call it simply sun god or sun worship or heliolatry –or give it a something more specific like:
Egypt: Amun (sun god)– Atenism (early monotheism)
Sowilo: Norse/Germanic – Sol is the goddess of the sun .
Chinese: Dijun – god of the 10 suns or sunbirds
Africa: Nyambi – sun god of the Barotse tribe

It would also be great to see some reliegions lose favour over time in favor of the current ones....I know sdk...but I'm just thinking!

i realy like the est indian company! but one thing,
i dont know how to edit the python (nor sdk in that matter),
in order to create a arger section for corporations, but i want to have an eqaul number of religions and crop.

sun reigion sounds very good, its original :)

this nice modes are availble for use, i ran in to the panther model in the unit forum, almost addedit, but i didnt.

i ove ifyou can make the additional symbos for the resources, i aint gonna add more, we have enough huh?

Hmm, thought corps where like rel - just xml - how about moving the later duplicate corp(s) to an earlier time? They hardly ever get built and when they do they are irrelevant.

I'd like to see camels in the desert - givs something to fight over...lol -and they can add a new twist to the game camel rider - +1 desert moves - horse -1 desert move, camel + 25% vs horse - horses are intermediated by cammels.

And maybe some late resources that boost production - like Caesium (rare) +5com and double oil well production.

Xenon: faster ion engines for spaceship
+2 city health - has medical applications as well.
(Preferred fuel for Ion propulsion because of high atomic weight, ease of ionization, store as a liquid at near room temperature (but at high pressure) yet easily converts back into a gas to fuel the engine, inert nature makes it environmentally friendly and less corrosive to an ion engine than other fuels such as mercury or caesium. Europe's SMART-1 spacecraft utilized xenon in its engines)

maybe hardwood (north latitudes)- for ships, strategic rec hammers and Mahogany jungle -ships and luxury resource hammers & com.

I can add these, they won't hurt anything if there not used and they will be there if somebody want's to add to the mod or makes a scenerio.

I'd rather see the Panther tank than the tiger- the panther was by far a more effective weapon for the germans

go ahead add the resorces, they sound great acctually, cammels is a nice thought aso the modern stuff...after all the more, the merrier....:)

the gir stuff i didnt add yet cause im affraid some isnt multiplayer compatible, also gir wrote a single mini mod for me to use, so ill considr this for next version, the piratemod is also on my lists :)

The resources follow th same order as CIV4BonusInfos.xml

only 1 lines up in the city screen - salt.

+5 There is are 2 wood resources in the dowloads section - good for later wooden ships - you don't have to eliminate ships if you don't have hardwood but hardwood is certainly better than pine, so maybe better defesive stats for ships that use hardwood.

I'll check out 1.5 tonight - I did see the new leader - very cool! thanks! I'm going to do a custom game and put him right next to me ----his grenadier doesn't seem to upgrade to anything...

if so - maybe you can write a tag for the mod -<goldcost> for unitinfo and buildingsinfos, with this tag - that add money cost to unitas/buildings, i can create an awesome mercenary system,
i offered kalimkhus to help, he agreed to, but he is rather busy, so maybe you can do ot?

I' am a web designer so I work with code all the time but mostly php and asp (vb), I have done a few things in C++ but I'm not that familar with it. Right now I want a camel resources - great for improving the desert as this is seldom fought over. Also great resource for scenerios. So I think I'm going to spend what little time I have to making that resource. But I'll take a look at the sdk, I have all the tools Visual Studio, etc., and see what I can do - I've never even looked at it.
 
Could you please find a different way to pack your mod? I've downloaded this 4 times (all different versions, using 3 different browsers) and every time I've tried to unpack it, I've gotten a bunch of errors about broken files.

i have built the pentagon, everything seems right, the movie is on,
also i bet its not the pntagoon that crached you, it gotta be some other building that i added,
