Has anyone ever brought up the concept of a First Person (Shooter) [shooter broadly speaking] Civ game? Would that not be the tightest thing ever?
Combine the depth and history of Civ with military strategy and combat engine of Total War, with first person gameplay like Mount and Blade for early eras, and something like War Thunder for later.
I recognize several conceptual issues. One, it would be a technological nightmare getting all that data playable. Two, it would probably lean towards making Civ more combat dominated than strategy. I think it is possible to strike a balance.
Obviously, there is nothing that makes me think that this is in the works or ever would be in the works, but I thought it sounds like a cool concept and wanted to get people's thoughts.
