And now... I have returned. Anyone care to fill me in on what's been happening since I've been gone?

We just got to 800cpt! (814cpt now). It's approx. 125 turns left at this rate. (12.5 turnchats). 2 left this term, and assuming 8 next term, that's 2.5 more. (early 2nd term). Granted, we'll be building more culture, and at times (twice this turnchat), we lept nearly 50cpt! With increased culture, we're looking at a mid-to-late term victory next term.

The only nations left on the map are: France (pretty much a city-state), Maya, Byzantines, and Hittites. oh, and we almost came close to domination victory. last time i checked we had over 70% population and 65% by land... it was of course to make room for ICS to get culture victory.
