dumb ?..how do I save?

I bought this game about a year ago and put it away angrily after never even coming close to beating Monarch. I have gotten back into it in the last few days. I started a game today as Portugal and was doing really well, but I couldn't figure out how to save. i hit esc, then left that way, only my game wasn't on the load games tab. So I lost it. I have the manual..but it is in my work truck, as I was trudging through it today while I was supposed to be servicing customers

Can anyone please tell me what i am doing wrong? I don't see a save option anywhere. Thanks in advance.

Control+S, or click menu thing, click save game.

Make sure you click the circle, telling the game to save the files.

So I lost it.

Maybe not. It depends upon the options you have set up but you may have it autosaved. Select Load Game and then look in your Auto folder.

I have a button on the top left of my screen which allows me to enter a main menu options list. It's there. Don't you have that top left button?
