Dungeons & Dragons: Mystara

V-crack,

If u still have those updates and can email them to me i'll see if i can't get them up with the main files.

thanks

Sorry that might take a long time. My upstream transfer rate is atrocious, but I'll see if I can get the time put it on the net somewhere. The v20 release is the full mod(500 or 600 megs) though the v21 patch is just contains files that over-write some minor things in the v20 full release.

I'm looking for the map and city tile art for the Giga-map that Arghis used for his map to this mod.

http://arghis.free.fr/d&d/map2/shot second sequence/web/Sans-titre-7.jpg
http://arghis.free.fr/d&d/mystara-worldmap.htm

The difference is subtle but stunning. Anybody know where I might be able to find those tile sets?

I can't make any promises, but I can look through my old backup cd's and see if I still have them. Arghis made blank maps and I was in the process of adding civs and cities when I ran out of time to work on this project. I don't believe I ever got to release them, though I tried finishing them for 6 months after releasing mod, but having kids has brought modding to a complete halt. I'll see what I can find and upload them here if I do.

Hi there, I have a bit of a problem with that thing, to do with missing PediaText files. First of all, when I try to play the D&D map, the thign crashes off the bat. When I tray a random map it crashes with a message that it couldn't find SwordmanFortify or something. What am I doing wrong. I have Complete ant folders and biq are in the Conquests/Scenarios folder. I tried moving both to the Conquests/Conquests folder but no difference. Please advise... :/

Do a search of the thread. I know the fix was posted. Needs bumping. There is a 'SPACE' in the ini file regarding the swordsman file/folder causing bad pathing. Sorry I cant remember the exact solution. I am working on uploading the working full mod for everyone.

Attention people, I just uploaded a zip with 2 random maps(100x100 & 200x200), 2 Mystara world(100x100 & 160x160) maps with set start locations, the known world(mine, unfinished), the massive world map, and the updated biq (patch 21 v0.50) info on a blank map for importing.

Link to follow. Oh, and the good full mod copy Ive been using that has never given me those errors that everyone keeps running into, I'm uploading that right now, too. It's the full 571mb so it might be a minute(hour, day...) before it finishes uploading.

Here everything is. If there are any problems let me know. The mod and maps are compressed into 2 files(1 is a zip 1 is a rar) straight from my 'C:\Program Files\Infogrames Interactive\Civilization III\Conquests\Scenarios' folder. Just drop the 'tjedge's D&D-Mystara' folder into your '...conquest\scenarios' folder, where ever you have it on your computer. Same for the maps(I recommend using the included 160x160 world map with assigned start locations).

Maps size: less than 1 meg
Full Mod size: 571 megs :crazyeye:

Enjoy.
Peace out, V-Crack
P.S. Sorrry about the file service pop-ups, they were cheap, I mean free.

What's the error? I haven't experienced any and the one I uploaded is an exact cut and paste.

I take it you downloaded it from the link I submitted in post #589?
And that you're playing using the Civ3-Conquests expansion v1.22?

Did you delete the previous download before copying this one into your C:\Program Files\Infogrames Interactive\Civilization III\Conquests\Scenarios (or where ever your ...conquest\scenario folder is)?
If you have any other unofficial full mods installed, have you disabled them all?
Make sure both the Mystara mod folder(and its contents) and the Mystara maps are in the ...Conquests\scenarios folder. Do not change the name of the mod folder and do not put the Mystara maps inside it.

OK, now that that stuff is out of the way. If you still get the error... Check the buildings art folder in the Mystara mod folder for the files: Store_Lg.pcx and Store_Sm.pcx. If they are not there, try copying the the storehouse(grainery) pedia art from the main civ buildings art folder to the Mystara mod buildings art folder renaming them using the file names listed above. If it is in there, open it to make sure the file didn't get corrupted during the transfer(there are literally thousands of small files used in the mod).

These are my best guesses. I seem to remember having these problems myself when I first put it on my system, back when tjedge1 was still actively developing the mod. I've had civ3 on and off my system a few times since then(along with this mod). I've even gotten a new laptop since then(which I play this mod on). So if your playing the retail version of civ3 conquests with all the official patches installed, I'm only guessing here why its working on my computer(win XP) and not yours. The mod rar and map zip I uploaded are copied from the files I use to play currently.

Not to single you out, but is anyone else sharing errors similar bill2505 experience? I checked the download counter for the download link I provided and the mod has been download a couple of dozen times. Some feedback from other users would help to know if this is isolated or systemic. In the mean time I'm downloading it myself from my own upload to verify the files are all intact.

And it looks like they're now into cheating their clients. I tried downloading the maps and got a message saying I had exceeded something. Check with CivFanatics or Atomic Gamer about hosting the files.

Update: The message said that I had exceeded a download limit. It seems to me that MegaUpload wants people to buy a premium membership, and is doing whatever it can to encourage purchases. The method they are using is more apt to turn people away, and shows that the company is run by people with no sense of any kind. Please, find a new file host.

Every time, on every port, the message I get when trying to download this mod is, "Limit exceeded". Is there a reliable file hosting service out there?

IP: 68.101.193.200 (port 80, 800, or 1723 does not matter)
