Hi, I installed 1.29b2 and DYP (using instructions from an earlier thread about DYP, I didn't want to bump it because it was 6 months old...) but I'm running into issues. First the New Game feature didn't work at all, but I realized it was because I had installed DYP over my 1.21 folder... >.<
After properly installing over my 1.29b2 folder, the New Game function works... sort of. It will load a game, but as soon as the first screen shows up, it crashes after a few moments. I get the pop-up that says like "Dawn of civilization" and tells you your traits, etc. The minimap is ok, but the actual screen behind the pop-up is black. After a few seconds (I assume the app is trying to draw the map) it gives out and dies, throwing me back to the desktop. I'm really frustrated, because I've spent a good hour trying to get this to work. Thanks for your advice.
Alan, I'm hoping you'll catch this thread.
EDIT- Nevermind. I decided to delete the whole folder and try again (for the third time now...) This time, I usedd your utility instead of me copy and pasting files into each folder. Now it works. Why, I don't know. I must've overwritten something that shouldn't have been or maybe I missed a file, who knows. Sorry to waste your time.
