Okay, I'm having difficulty using my workers as well as I used my terraformers in SMACx. I assumed they would work the same. However, I never seem to be able to construct a thriving economy. I realize facilities play a role, but I'm not seeing connections very well.

Also, I'm struggling with setting my science rate. I don't really know why. It seems clear. For example, in a current game I'm playing the Russians (Exp & Sc.). I purposely chose opposition civs without the science trait; however, I cannot secure the tech lead.

Taking in consideration that nation building is difficult, what are the basics? Build everything? Mine everything? Irrigate Plains? Plant Forests?

Trying to beat Regent.

road give you trade....

letS' you have 100 trade in your cities and

50% in cash = 50 gold goin per turn
20% happinnes = 20 happy citizen
30% science = 30 science point per turn

but then if you have corruption....
*red shield*
if you have 25 corruption....
this meant it's like if your citi was at 75 trade...

i guess it work something like that,.

using v 1.17 you will not be able to get a tech lead early in the game. its better to buy your tech early after all other civ have it (which is usually 1 turn after the first civ gets it.) the price drops to a very affordable level.

i usually put the slider to 0 tech until the late middle age to the early industrial age.

that's depend on wich level you play, on chieftain, warlord and regent you can easily get a BIG advance in tech
like being in democracy and them in despotism.

i didN't play at monarch and emperor yet with 1,17 but on other patch you could get a good adavnce in middle game

Didn't play enought on deity to tell you.:)

you can get and maintain a tech lead on regent, esp. with the sci + exp traits, even in the ancient age, but it won't be a huge lead.

Dojo, make sure you build libraries/universities in your cities to boost science. Roads improve commerce, which is what gets split between taxes/science/luxuries. I think you may not have your science rate high enough. What rate is it set at?
