::Edad De La Exploracion 1490 - 1900:: version 2.0

Goodthoughts!! I'llgo through and test the concepts as i encourage you to do as well. The year "1900" is really just a decoration anyways, fact is there is no time limit to the game because I hate time limits and the year is merely a reference, not of actually consequence.

Also were limited by the game which doesn't allow nations to change names as time progresses.

I'll look over the rest of these ideas and hopefully together we can make 3.0 awesome!! Load up your bic when your done so i can have a look.

I would recomend just calling them Germans actually, and etc.

I started a new game as the Netherlands to try them out. I am going to try and get Asia first, since my last game I focused on Americas.

I would disagree calling them Germans. HRE is more applicable for the majority of the timespan of the scenario. Because then what about colonists and settling lands? What about territory extending to northern Italy? In my opinion, HRE should stay and we'd just have to deal with that. It's not even a major issue.

Hey guys, big fan of the time period, going to download the scenario asap and offer some feedback. Experienced player, novice in the ol' forums, as you can see. Happy Conquests! :)

Just something I noticed and should probably be fixed for the next version is that the Portuguese do not start off with any settler unit yet all the other powers do. I attempted to place one inside Lisbon, but, oddly, it did not allow me to place one there, so instead it had to be placed one tile north of the city. Just something to look into. I also separated Java from Sumatra (Indonesia) because it is a personal preference not to have them connected ;)

What are some of your ideas/plans for version 3.0, if you care to share at the moment?

Sorry for the lack of feedback this past month, my computer broke :mad: , and is in the process of being fixed, should be okay in a week. I'm borrowing my friends' for email and internet and such :crazyeye:

Anywho, I played as the French briefly before my pc went crazy and I noticed a few things at least that could be looked at, but I don't know if what I saw was due to balancing. Ok, so, I think the military presence of France on land should be greater from the beginning, and possibly all the civs should get a treasury increase, to show the wealth of lords and the king or whatever, I always hated how there never seemed to be any leftover cash. :p Of course, all countries today are in debt but back then I believe it may have been different, due to hoarding of treasure and the stealing from the peasants, etc. ;)

And the French Musketteer....unique unit, yet it has no advantages over the regular Arquebus that any nation can build, except that it costs 10 more shields! :crazyeye: This post is not very well thought out and it is going on bits that I remember, so....I'll get back to you fellahs by next week hopefully! Haven't played in ages, and I think I'm going crazy.... :lol:

there is a missing entry for naval academy and holy inquisition. i think its the text entry but you should confirm that.
