Editing Map Generator

This has probably been asked a lot, but I can not find it.

Is there a way to change the map editor to specify what % of the map you want to be mountains, oceans, and so forth?


I hate arid lands and it seems that the whole map is always ocean.

Anyhow, sorry to repeat something that is probably already answered somewhere.

Depending on how far you want to get into map scripting, you can do almost anything you want for Civ map. To research the map you are playing on, open your favorite map script's .py file from the PublicMaps folder.
