Why do you care?
Are amusing to me. Did they get a guy out of Cairo to do it just for them?

Ohh, how I wish more people here knew Egyptian Arabic...

Basically all of the responses are the same, translated into that civ's language. Try playing as the Americans or the English to find out what they mean...

In any case, it's not what he's saying that's funny, it's the accent. It's strange to hear coming out of my comp...

Interesting that they chose Egyptian Arabic instead of ancient Egyptian (is it even known how that language was pronounced) or Coptic. I don't know, Hatshepsut and Egyptian Arabic don't really match ... do they? :)

They do know words in Ancient Egyptian, but can make only vague guesses at pronunciation. Coptic, though, that's interesting.

I find that my mongolian workers mutter something that sort of sounds like "We'll Try", but isn't.

I know. By the way, if you ever play Age of Empires II, some of the Mongolian unit responses are the same there.

I haven't played as the Egyptians yet, but I know there's a weird sounding Roman command I usually hear when building a city. Sounds like my guy's saying, "Oh, look, babies!". I think it's RomeOrder-000. Those baby-eating Romans...

The "000" unit sound file is "as you wish" (in all languages). I think the Latin quote is something like "ut ??? verbis" (I can't make out the middle part), which would probably translate into something like "As your words". But my Latin is non-existant really. I managed to pass a Latin class in school by knowing no vocabulary, but exactly one figure of speech, and shouting every time i spotted it "This is an hyperbaton!". ;)
