In my game, I just built Magellan's Voyage (in Renne), and I already have TGL in Delhi. However, my Caravels are only moving four per turn. I don't have Magnetism yet, so I can only conclude that if you have both Magellan's and TGL, only one of them counts.

Yeah, I've had both too and have seen the same effect (or lack of it).

It's because both wonders have the same "+1 movement" flag checked in the editor. Since it doesn't help to have that same wonder ability twice, there is no extra bonus for building Magellans (untill Lighthouse expires).

The Lighthouse and Magellan's are not cumulative. It's like if you build a grainary in a city and then build the Pyramids. You don't get two grainaries.

But you can sell the previously built grainery and still have one in the city.

Yup. Schnupf. Didn't even know that until a very recent solo game where I somehow wound up with both in a 20K attempt. (Stupid AI cascades cheating me out of the good wonders! ;) )

If you really get annoyed by a wonder cascade, one way to beat it would be to use a leader (if you don't have one, you can chain-reload and attack with elites until you get one). :)

Tsk, tsk, suggesting such things.

It was Conquests, anyway -- no rushes.

Were SGLs on? I would have thought they would make 20K attempts easier! ;)
