Elves and conquesting

I wonder why FoL Priests summon Tigers anyway. Tigers don't seem to be particularly associated with forests in my book.

Althrough maybe Erebus tigers are somewhat different. After all, even our world has some forest tigers.

One question popped out of my mind: researching project "nature's revolt", does it boosts your permanent summoned animals - tigers and krakens and maybe treants later too?

It would boost the tigers you've already summoned, but not new ones and not Krakens or Treants. Krakens are unitcombat_beast, not unitcombat_animal, and Treants have no unitcombat.

(In my version, Treants are siege units capable of lowering city defenses. They also have Priest of the Leaves abilities.)

I'd really prefer if it Summoned a bear, or somesuch. Or maybe even a random "spirit" animal (with free Spirit Guide promotion, but unable to be used to build the animal city improvements).

Phew. You had me worried there for a while. I hadn't seen a "in my version"-post from you in over 24 hours. :crazyeye:

Kael has said that it's a balance issue. Wolves would be super lame. Lions would be too slow. Bears would be overpowered (especially with the ability to settle without a Carnival) and too good at city defending overall. Tigers are powerful enough and useful enough to be worthwhile at that stage in the game, have a useful ability to settle and are not so powerful that they dominate the game at that stage *cough*Tsunami*cough*.
