What does that mean. My workers could build roads over rivers before that Tech and after. Does it actually mean nothing at all?

It means your movement cost is reduced to normal road movement, either 1/2 or 1/3 of a movement point to cross a river instead of the 1 full point of movement for a river crossing before the Tech.

The roads don't actually go over rivers before that tech, resources are connected before then by the road going TO the river, and then the river of loading onto the other road. so it helps the movement bonus, not the connection ability, of roads.

So thats why my bridges are... well just halfs?
It looks kinda silly, or is it a graphical bug?
After researching that advancement i will get normal looking bridges?

I have to say that, i run Civ 4 on my old GeForce 2 MX 400, although i get no waves on water, the game runs t like 10-15 FPS which is enough for a turn strategy ;)
(note: Demo version)

Once you research construction roads that pass over rivers become bridges and you know longer get the movement penalty for crossing the bridged river. Prior to bridges the graphic across rivers looks like ferry stations to me.

I dont want to start a new topic so i'll ask it here

If i build eg. Stonehenge, which provides an Obelisk to every city, the obelisk is "built" or it's just "like if the obelisk is there"

Silly question i know ;)

An obelisk is built and graphically visible. If you lose Stonehenge, though, it is "unbuilt" so to speak.

The obelisk isn't acutally built but in the city display, it lists an obelisk as one of the buildings. You gain the culture as if there was an obelisk there. If you lose the city with Stonehenge in it or when Stonehenge becomes obsolete, the obelisk will disappear from your cities.

If you built the actual obelisk itself, you will still gain the cultural benefit from the obelisk even after it is obsolete.
