I received a great scientist near the end of the civics tech tree. He gave me multiple civics techs, which finished the tree. The last two techs constantly re-appear for me to select (Globalization and Social Media), even though in the tree they are completed. I have to select one to move on. When done, I have to select one of the same two again...and again...and again.

Yes, that's annoying, but look on the bright side -- at least you have the opportunity to switch policies and governments every few turns. :)

This is not a bug, they are meant to function similar to 'future tech' in the tech tree: they add a flat amount to your score each time you complete them

If a feature is easily taken for a bug, then it is a very bad feature, and should be treated like a bug.

If you want to have something like "future tech" in the civics tree, then have "future civic development", that's a repeating thing, and described as such.

Just having the last few civic developments repeat, without there being anything in their description about repeating, is quite clearly either poor design, or a bug.

It says it clearly in the hover-over description for both: "Can be completed multiple times, increasing your points towards a score victory"

But I agree, poorly implemented and it should be the same as tech with just the single option at the end.

They really need icons for the multiple "hidden effects"... the poor documentation in the game does qualify as a bug

[I think having 2 different "future civics" is fine, because you could just keep researching one of them, and you don't have to research all the prerequisites for the other, or put up with the Policies going obsolete. It might be better to have "Future Globalization"..which requires only Globalization, and "Future Social Media"..which requires only Social Media]
