English Language Pack

I'm on a business trip that's extended longer than I'd like. A local German store had Civilization III (vanilla) for 10 Euro. Yippee, something to do at night.

And of course it's in German, which I can't read. I've already patched up to 1.29, but is there an "English Language Pack" somewhere I can download?

No, if you buy the German version, it's in German. If you bought the English version (US or UK), it'd be in English. You are a real civfanatic.
