Hi,

I'm considering buying some equipments for my units (plates, fine bows) but ... the description says they are removed when the unit get bronze, iron or mithril weapon

So what's the point? All units except recon get that very soon, at least the bronze one...

They are removed, not blocked. Basically, you can buy them again.... Think of it as upgrading the equipment with the new metals. The mechanic is supposed to be a money-sink.

The idea is that you buy fine weapons with the best material available. eg, bronze. But when you get iron, adequately made iron weapons are superior to exceptional bronze weapons, because the material is better. So your fine weapons are lost. But you can, if you wish, go back an pay the same blacksmith again, to do you some more high quality work, this time in iron.

It's cheapest to wait only until mithril to do these things, but of course you miss out on having the extra strength for all the time in between.

Oh ok, this is a fine mechanism them. From the description, I really thought this was a waste of money (i.e that the removal was every turn you had bronze+ weapons).
