Error fest then Black map defeat!

A collegue and I are trying to add a python mod comp to my revolution scenario, but, upon loading, it gives and ugly error fest then shows a black map and a defeat window.
What is this? :confused: :confused:

My collegue has tried everything, but this still comes up. And this has happended with other python mods in my scenario before. Has this happened to any of you when you were making your mod??

Any ideas will be appreciated.:)
 
No need for so much bumping! People can't be here to respond all hours of the day, and besides - you posted in the wrong forum.

Does you collegue has python error reporting on? If not, I'd suggest he switch it on.
 
i have requested this forum question moved this morning. i have no idea how i wasnt paying attention. im hoping to find out more about any compatibility issues that may have arisen in the 1.51 to 1.61 transfer, too.
 
TGA, I have been trying to help Garret merge the sniper mod with his second revolution mod but are getting an error stating that my <Can unit do action> method does not exist in the game utils class. What's wierd though is that it seems like my CvSniperModGameUtils.py and CvGameInterface.py files are never loaded, almost like if a copy of the original CvGameInterface.py is kept in his scenario. It is really wierd.
 
i am going to start cross referencing my xml files with the main assets to see compatability issues with 1.61. i apperently didnt update enough of my xml files for the 1.61 patch.
 
Misread the orignal question a tiny bit there.

That's rather weird. Anything fiddled with in the SDK that could be causing it? Maybe a cache issue (though I very much doubt it)?

The only thing changed in the SDK is talcha's Action Button Mod v2.0 which is used by the Sniper Mod only. What's weird is that the sniper mod works fine on its own...
 
now for the big problem. im trying to do a map conversion from a modified 1.52 to 1.61 now. i have edited the "great_palace" and "great_dam" stuff out, but im still getting a crash, implying that the map is still not converted. how did some other mods get their premade, populated maps converted?



ps: it seems that second revolution was able to run in 1.61 by pure chance and strage luck. :( :( :(
