Error message when trying to start

I installed civ lll and when I clicked the civ icon a get the following error message, there is a "/", "\" or a "." in the name. you need to change the name( or something like that, I'm not at my computer now). I was disappointed as I was looking forward to playing the game. Does anybody have any idea what they are talking about?

The path MOS 10.2:timstarkesktop:Games:Civilization contains a
slash(\), backslash(/), or a period (.). Please remove the character from the appropriate Folder's name and try again.
