Nice :) good to know that he is still alive. Unlike in my game he died protecting his wounded comrade against zombies.
 
Just got a strange message ... I seem to recall getting other similar ones which are 'out of character' with the faction I am playing ...



Is any other tester not finding these things?

Also what factions are you guys testing ... it would be good to consolidate our effort. :p

Ooh that's an interesting one. The "Oh Decayed one ..." is just the full title for the leader of the zombies i.e. "Test Subject Alpha". However, zombies shouldn't be able to use espionage since the wonder that enables it goes obsolete with the Zombification tech.

That ammo trade on turn 1 made things a bit too easy so I moved that ammo resource. Ammo jumps around often so it can still appear in your territory even if you are unable to expand- you must be unlucky.
 
Okay, as survivors, captured Graveyard pretty easily (That mutant zombie caused some problems, but nothign that Mr. Tokugawa couldn't handl)
Soon as everyone was healed, went north and attacked the armory (Completely different than my normal strategy, but now that I can't easily get some ammo to upgrade Hannibal in the first few turns, I just decided to skip the second upgrade and go straight for the third.)
Somehow captured armory, most likely because most of the military zombies that I thought would be defending it were wandering around shooting farmers.
And then, this happens.




I fixed the problem by copying the combat engineer from the WWII in Pacific folder, and it's now running fine. But this problem never before the most recent update....
 
Yes The Omega, that's the fix for that one for now but I need to either link to the WWII scenario or include the unit in the download - but copyright may apply :(

Comparing this with the original script.txt there is not $LINK0 - so I'm going to remove this and rerun the playtest. To all playtesters: if you are trying to debug the CTD set DEBUG on as you will be able to see exactly what the AI was doing on its turn.

Also have gotten back to Boomer as a leader name ... perhaps get about 10 names per faction ?!!

Okay, I'm playing a new game. On universal, to get a feel for what's changed since the last version. And I have one comment about it.

I'm going to kill whoever suggetested making the zombies gov corruption communal. There's like a billion monster zombies on the island, coming from every direction. I'm having a harder time playing this on universal than I did playing in on 12a in the last update....
 
That happens to me too, whenever the leader was in transport or on military screen it shows as that crusier/sub thing..but otherwise it's the same old leader we all loved.

Haha, well that's the aim, I am just having as much a hard time as you do now it's REALLY a zombie invasion, but some field trip make but zombies. Well I feel the reg. zombie pose no problem the real one are that nuclear zombie and monster zombie once they appear.
Maybe to compensate each other faction gets a bit more starting units?
 
Just noticed that the Riot Cop icon appears in build cue instead of SWAT (Peace Keeper)

hey at least Nuclear Plant haven't fell yet, it fell by day 2 or 3 and I have to deal with mutiple nuclear zombie with9/8 stats until I can retake the plant. then the mutant zombie appeared ><. bad luck


but yeah, that's pretty much how much zombies goes around now in every game. mine too dispite it being only 18 lv.

However after restarting the save ... I still get transported and SWAT under production using the RiotCop icon. :(

I lost 2 building ... so have decided to restart Authorities at the Restricted value ... Banned is very very hard ... as it should be :D
 
Looks like I need to shorten those titles for zombie leader LOL. I'll look at the unit icon problem tonight.

Were you choosing from a pop up or from the science adviser screen? If the former it might be another script.txt bug.
