Escape From Zombie Island 2 ready for public consumption

Well I'm just putting the final touches to this update and should be able to upload it this week sometime.

I've held a couple of things back from you guys so expect a few small surprises.

Thanks to everyone for their help on this update. I'm going to finally put a credit.txt file in that acknowledges everyones work.

Are there still some descs needed? Do you want a new female assasin KA?
Did my emails arrive? If yes then good, looking forward to play.

Could you write a list of the updates for next version?

Got them thanks. I'll PM you about the female assassin as I would want a new desc but just to let you know that I know now what units I'm going to use for her. I did get your other emails and going in are: Paul 'Snake' Diego, Hank O'Donnel, Daryl Paine and the robber guy (I changed his name to Joe Rouerk).

hi,

Anyway, I remember someone asking for a survivor unit on a bike, I found one Biker Gyrl .. biker girl, with laser rockets, on a red futuristic bike at http://apolyton.net/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=38829&highlight=BlueO
from Apolyton Civilization website. Do we still need that?

And Lizardsman's unit, those animal fighters can be mutant zombie or experiments from a Zoo.

Anyway just a thought, good luck on the update KingArthur :king:

I know the biker Gyrl, she's one cool Gyrl but her machine is too futuristic for this mod.
I mean, bike people don't have lasers installed in their bikes, even those who have high-tech ones. She would be great for a sci-fi mod, but as much as i like the model it's not what i was thinking.
My idea actually was a burly leather jacket biker with a harley-davidson who was just drinking beer at the biker bar when zombies spoiled his fun.

Yeah I agree, too futuristic although you could just remove the laser attack from the ini file and use the victory "wheelie" flc as an attack but still I won't use her.

The description of the deadly yet beautiful assasin was sent to KingArthur,
I'm looking forward to the new update...
This mod really got a long way from the beggining, don't you think?

I think that this scenario could be compared to a zombie, first it was a "human",then it "died" and then it was resurrected to a zombie. And it started mutating.
Great theory don't you think :D

This was a very good and funny scenario. i had fun playing as the survivors, especially when i conquered the whole island(including the authorities and the compagny)

i just wanted to say that this is the best user-created scenario
i have ever played!
i love the work you did with designing the city layout and the tilesets you used
also, your choice of units (and the resources they require) is superb

i just had one question,
i want to maybe design a city scenario...can I use the city tilesets you used?
and if so, how would i do that? (i've never made a scenario before)

thanks!@!

BB, I think there is those you can download online in this forum, just you might have to search for it, I think they have it, and you can ask those who make it too. But I have no idea though ;) being a completely noob.

Anyway KA, did you think that a new building, gun store, is good? It can provides a permanent source of ammo.?

Hi BuddhaBubba
The tileset is modified terrain graphics.

If you've never made a scenario before it's actually very easy once you get going. You simply need to create a scenario folder to hold all your files and this must be created in the Conquests\Scenarios folder. One of the best ways to learn is by example so take a look at the Escape From Zombie Island 2 folder. To add the modified terrain to my scenario I simply had to create another folder called Art under the scenario folder followed by a Terrain folder under this. The terrain graphic files go in the Terrain folder - mountains are now replaced by the brown buildings and volcanos become skyscrapers. To create your map and everything else you need to use the Civ 3 Editor but seeing as I don't want to turn this into a scenario making tutorial (besides there are bound to be tutorials out there already) I'll stop there.

The terrain graphics are the work of Kulade and can be found in the Graphics Mod section - do a search for Urban Warfare terrain and you'll find it. I think it's safe to say that as Kulade released his work to civfanatics that he is allowing anyone to download and use his work.
