Escape From Zombie Island 2 ready for public consumption

If the island is going to get bigger, I think we need one or two Survivor buildings more. Btw, I think the city name "The Holdout" is a bit strange. All the other city names tell what used to be there before the place became a "city" of one of the factions (The School, The Radio Station etc.). What was at the holdout before it became the holdout?

I think I could make a bridge... is it going to be NW to SE or NE to SW?

Excuse my ignorance but can the bridge go East to West instead? If not then NE to SW is the best option but I could accomodate anything you choose to make.

I have always thought of the hold-out as a small apartment block (flats) but never gave it much thought beyond that. The name is symbolic rather than descriptive as you will have gathered.

What about a Mall ... doesn't every great Zombie flick have one? ... increase in supply on all city tiles.

And maybe Public library ... bonus in science

The Company needs a vehicle as well ... ;)

Oh and please please have Daleks as a Company wheeled weapon ...

Glad you havn't totally left the development King_Arthur ... I like the way this mod is evolving and it just wouldn't be the same without you :goodjob:
 
I deliberately left out a mall because it was a bit cliched; I am trying to do produce a serious mod here ;)

A Mall would be an obvious choice tho'. Public Library is a good suggestion too. What about the units these could produce; can you think of any?
 
Not sure about special units ... but do they need to produce units?

Maybe some of these 'buildings' could also reduce corruption or incease happiness ... Have found frustration with the pbem due to rioting with population, and anly 1 or 2 being able to work the tiles ... maybe the mall could produce a Survivor crossbow unit for Mall due to sporting shops ... or upgrade a previous unit due to better weapons from the A1-Gun Shop ;)

EDIT - Actually not sure what a mall is ... in Australia a mall is an open space in the centre of town where only pedestrians go ... but am thinking it is like heaps of shops of differing produce side by side and floor upon floor ... one mega building ... a cathedral to the shopperholic ... in game it would be a magic place with bonuses for virtually every trait :crazyeye:

No they don't have to produce special units at all, just musing. We don't have malls either, just plain old Shopping Centres.
 
If you think about it mall should definately make a LOT of people happy, becuase now that everybody have to run for their lives, the stuff is pretty much free and all the clothes, toys, new stuff makes people happy. Right? and probably make the one tile the mall on produce a lot of food, shield, and supplies to represent the suppies you found if the mall.

Also regarding to the resource heavy weapon, maybe it would be fairer if that company and authority can building some kind of heavy infantry because of this weapon, so not only survivor needs it? Because there is a lot of resource that need to build units for survivor while Company needed almost nothing and Authority needs mostly ammo?
 
Maybe we can make the mall a city where their is a lot of good lands around it? and have it control by another civ, call something like crazy employee(don't know) who guards it. But they can't build anything so whoever civ capture it first get all the good land which give a lot of resources kind of like king of the hill where if you capture the mall it gives a lot of good supplies?

-fe3333au- In the place where I lived, I seen two kinds of mall, once is like you describe althogh it's VERY RARE, only seen one and it's all those super expensive places that only rich people go so not really where I would go. But the kind I seen most is where there is one BIG building with two-three levels and all these shops insides it.

The VP location is on the mainland now. Authorities aim is to stop anyone leaving the island.

The new Heavy Infantry unit for the authorities requires the Heavy Weapons resource.
 
Hmm, could the possible new building/city be a prison? And because of the nature of the place, it could provide a defensive bonus. Maybe it could also produce special "jailbird" units... ;)
 
The only problem with a W to E bridge is that you can't place any roads on it (it would look bad). So there will be no way to get resources from one side to the other. But if I make the roads (not the roads but the roads :rolleyes: ) a part of the basic terrain and renamed the roads (not that kind of roads - the other one) to Safe Path/Area as we talked about earlier, then the bridge could have roads (not those roads) on it. Confusing?

edit: I just noticed this unit for the first time. I think it looks female enough to be an interesting replacement for the graphics that are used for Ms Tokugawa now.

I'm with you. Whatever you have time to do. Even if you just want to do a NorthWest to SouthEast bridge that would be fine. I appreciate that it's going to be a lot of work.

It's a fine looking unit, very crouching tiger, hidden dragon in appearance. I could use that but I like the fact Ms Tokugawa has a gun, she's a modern gal and not as traditional as her father is.

No one gets in or out. Of course this building would have to be under the control of the Authorities and I need more for buildings for the Survivors
 
I'm thinking of a powerplant run by Survivors, but that could render the generator improvement pretty useless... :hmm:
 
Here's some idea's for cities.
Survivor Cities
Docks or Harbor
What about the Docks or Harbor for the survivors which allows you to fix (build) a cruise ship if you have fuel , machinery, parts . Control both the Hardware Store , and Factory. Which will allow them another way reach the victory point location.
Survivor unit sailors .

Bar +3Happiness
Survivor unit Drunk

Zombie or Authority City
Stadium
One of the first safe area’s set up by the authorities.
 
I think the option for building is almost ran out, I mean we got everything food store, HArdeware graveyard, school... I say it's almost up what could be on a island, hmmmm beach BBQ store??? I wouldn't work...hmmmmm. beats me, a park??? or market.... :cry:

o maybe a forest or something because on the vampire thread there is one unit of hunter that would work nicely as the survivor units?
 
I second the pub ... after seeing Sean of the Dead, every Zombie mod needs one :lol: ...

Mall (happiness), library (science) and bar/pub (happiness) definitely need to be included.
A junk/scrap yard seems to find its way into a lot of horror movies, should be good for extra production.

A market or super market is also a good idea (extra food).

As far as any units provided -- the mall should give you security guards and the pub should include the bar owner whom of course has a shotgun. Maybe a dog in the junk yard... "junk yard dog"... ha! I kill me.
