Escape From Zombie Island 2 ready for public consumption

Thanks I'd like to take you up on that offer Yorgos :)

Please do make some terrain pedia pcxs for the civilopedia.

I'd like tech arrows too but I'm still chopping and changing tech paths. If you don't mind I'll ask you about that later.

I have a question:

How come the cities aren't torched by the lava (aka fire) flow? I noticed that some of the cities (Buildings) are right next to volcanoes.

Max Eruption period is set at 3000 and most games will last only a fraction of that time.

Each volcano on the map will erupt at least once within the indicated eruption period (shown in years).

Personally, I've never seen a building go up but Spacer Op has a pic: see Post 1275. I think you have to be playing a long time to see one LOL.

I saw that. It was pretty funny.

OK, one last question. If my scenario 120 turns, the I need to type in 120 in the mass eruption dealy for it to erupt during the scenario?

A good question to which I don't know the answer but I'll carry on as if I know what I'm talking about.

First off the number relates to a "random" event. So if you set the number to 120 it means that each volcano has a 1 in 120 chance of going off - it doesn't mean each volcano will always go off in that time frame it might be longer or it might be shorter but the average is 1 in 120.

Secondly, the editor Help seems to indicate that the number equates to a number of years not turns because base units of time can be set to weeks, months or years.

Since the base unit of time in EFZI2 is months you have to multiply 3000 by 12 to get the average eruption period of each volcano. Spacer One must have been playing for a helluva long time LOL or he just had an extremely rare, early random event.

Also, there's about 65 "volcanoes" in this scenario and each one has the same chance of erupting. I'm no mathematician so I can't tell you how likely you are to see a volcano erupting in an average game of EFZI2.

Or I just play your mod so much, that it eventually happened?...

did I mention that I only play EFZI2, BfNY, SG-1(BaD)...

OK, the new civilopedia images are here!

I've organised them in a way that they can be extracted directly in the civilazation III folder, so that any player can immediately download and benefit from them.

King Arthur, note however that you must use the txt files and the editor to remove unnecessary civilopedia entries like hills or jungle. If you need help with the technology tree, just let me know.

Thanks for the pedia images Yorgos! I'm putting them in right now.

@MoscaTnT - you can "spam" this thread let like that anytime you want. Excellent unit.

Hey, Mosca, can poser open .oth models? If so, I found another free zombie (with animations) at turbosquid:

http://www.turbosquid.com/FullPreview/Index.cfm/ID/184968

If this unit is done, it could be a good transition from the Romero's Zombie, to this, to the mutant zombie, getting more decayed as time passes by. Just a thought, :).

now, about the only contribution I can made..civilpedia entries.
I made they to the MoscaTnT's zombies the first zombie and the zombie w/ the gun. Hope you guys like it

National Guards Zombie
Tommy and Nick walks through the dark alley to the last known positions of Tango Five-Two, a squad of National Guards, where it disappeared without the trace. The HQ had order he and Nick to from a small search party to find the missing squad. He had been a cop for 6 years now and he knows his way around the street as he guides Nick, a rookie Marine from Kentucky, through the dark street. He had walk through the same streets for years, but he didn’t recognized the scene before him. The street bustling with pedestrian are silent, trashes and debris litters the street and a dark eerie feeling keep the back of Tommy’s hair erect. Tommy’s thought was interrupted as they reached their destination and he and Nick stare at the destruction before him; several body, half-eaten and some even losing limbs, dressing in Guardsman’s uniform lay sprawling on the ground, traces of bloods everywhere. As Tommy scan his eyes around for any suspicious activities, Nick approaches a figure walking awkwardly towards them. Tommy notices that it wears an Guard’s uniform, will barely his pants are torn on the left side and his shirts aren’t even there, just as the thought register his mind he’s about to yell a warning to the rookie when the figure raises his left hand and shots were heard. The sound wasn’t his Barrette nor Nick’s M-16. He look just in time to see Nick’s body hit the floor as the figure pick up his army and start nibbling at it, and at his right hand was an pistol and he seem to know how to use it. Tommy raised his radio and reports “ HQ, this is Raven four-oh, I lost Nick and the zombies seemed to know how to use firearms. I repeat, Zombies seemed to know how to use firearms over.” Tommy sign as he lower his radio, but stopped midway as he feel the cold steel of a gun pointed at his head. His thought scrambles as he look toward where the zombie was, but it was no longer there. Tommy cursed as his mind register the sounds of the pistol as his minds went blank.

Normal Zombie

"Excellent", Dr Lazzar commented as he watch from a screen cam from the comfort of his secret lab as he checks on the progress of the experiment. “The subject shows high resistance to physical abuse, and the brain activities is near zero, absolutely no minds of it’s own. The experiment is a success."Just as Lazzar was in his own world of joy and achievements he hear a muffle screams from the screen. He turns his attention to the screen and watch the subject strangling an aid whose horrid face actually amuse him. What happen next surprise even Lazzar himself as the subject bite at the aid’s face. “Interesting, that was rather unexpected” He continued to stare at the screen as the security guards desperately try to take it down. Despite their best effort though, Lazzar knew it was useless and now even the aids got up and walks toward the guards, with half of him face gone. The situation is totally up of hands now, and just as Lazzar is about to contact the director to direct a few more guards to take care of the problem. He notices the Alpha Subject, walks towards the control panel. “Impossible he said to himself, there is no way a zombie is capable of any sort of intelligence, that’s why they’ll never escape the lab.” He watched in horror as the final guards try to stop him but failed miserable as the zombies work the panel a while, the lockdown of the lab was deactivated as the door opened. What happened next freezes every ounce of blood in Lazzzar’s body as he was for SURE the zombie look at him through the screen, as if it knew he was looking at it and lifted his head and gave him a sly smile before disappearing, leading now a small army of undead following him. After the hordes left, Lazzar let out a breath he hadn’t know he was holding and slump back to his chair. “Get me the director.” He said weakly to his aid as he pick up the phone and said “Allen, we have a problem”

Now, I love writing this sort of stuff, but I don't know which units needs one and if you guys like it or not, so if you like the way I write it and know a unit or building is missing the civilpedia, you can tell me.

KingArthur, I just wanted to make sure that you have noticed Plotinus' new monk units, the last one (Franciscan Friar) is specially worth noticing IMO.
Somebody once suggested that a Priest (belonging to the Survivors?) unit should be placed near the Church, but it wasn't done, probably because there wasn't any good graphics (except perhaps the Fanatic unit).
