Escape From Zombie Island 2 ready for public consumption

The Sewer RAT should belong to the Authorities IMO. It looks like a CIA operative, not a desperate citizen.

Or it could be a civilian dressed in a wet (diving) suit from the Sport's Store.

I agree with the names of the missiles but the declare war effects is perfectly plausible. What would you do if you were a civilian and the authorities started using big destructive bombs that don't care who they kill. The authorities have given up on you but you're still alive godammit!! ;) I think a situation like this would proabably send most civilians over the edge of sanity. Or maybe they'd just hang white flags out of their windows?

Yeah, I think that civs declareing war on the Authorities for using nukes makes sense, since their bombing the survivors homes, and they're destroying the Company's valuable sources of money. ;)

Then the athoraties can use their nukes on the survivers and turn them into little puddles of sludge :)

Also what I ment in the earlier post is a big where the survivors can't take over the island and the can only capture the airport.

Good points on both issues.

About the cruise missile... maybe abolish them alltogether and instead make a "suicidal heroe" unit.

Imagine an injured soldier, bitten by the Zombies (so he know's he's gonna transform into one soon), so he goes crazy, takes a few granades, his last pistol cartridges and runs into the zombies killing as many as possible before perishing!
A little bit like the Berserker in the Viking Game (except it's not nuclear).

I think it would be more plausible than a mini-missile or even a mortar shot.

I've just realized that, in these times of trouble, this unit could shock some people... hope not!

Yeah, but would it really make sense for suicidal cops to be mass produced?

I still don't like the idea of a kamikazi unit.... Maybe for zombies, but everyone else wants to get off the island, not blow themselves up.
UNLESS... they are badly injured by Zombies and know that they will became one and will kill friends and loved ones!!! Oh, my God! :suicide:

And they aren't mass produced, they are just ocasionally badly injured by Zombies but still manage to escape and live a little longer.

One might want to escape, but when saw no escape, could try to do a desperate thing. Isn't not really a suicide, it's more a "berserker" attittude - go against all odds because you want to help someone escape from that area or just because you've gone nuts with the all situation!

The thing is that the Cruise Missile (similar to the Nuke) doesn't do enough damage to be a Missile, does it?

I understand, but that would really only make sense if you gave the normal units a cruise missile ability, since it really doesn't make sense for you to "Recruit" a badly injured guy. If it was possible to make it so that weakened units could do it, yes, but a brand new unit? Nein.

Weasel Op... Just wanted to "add my 2 cents" concerning the "SewerRAT" unit. Yes, he does look rather "professional", however, there would be many people on the Island with various Professional backgrounds and experiences who found themselves victims of the Zombie situation. Faced with death, it is more than probable that so called "Survivors" would have several groups that would team together and do what they could to survive. They would use their knowledge, experience and past Professions to the best of their abilities. People that were "professional" and became civilians would use their skills. Like a Great Soldier with top experience, no longer in the service, finding himself in a "situation" that called for his past Expertise. You can bet he would use it and team up with others to "make a difference". ALL professionals are people and not many remain professionals their entire life so Survivors are not all just a bunch of inept, incapable civilians, they are an eclectic group that when organized, can be extremely effective and even "professional". For example, Mr. Tokugawa certainly uses his martial arts skills with his sword. :) All "survivors" use what they know to survive. History has shown this to be true of people in "Real situations".

Glad all you guys are discussing the game issues and adding your thoughts. I am certain KingArthur is considering all areas for possible changes, additions and improvements. Not an easy task to implement all things due to game limitations such as the borders not showing totally with the needed changed Road Graphics. Never the less, the update should prove both interesting and fun.

Regarding missile ... perhaps it is not an explosive missile ... but a gas canister/capsule/projectile ... used to ensure that only targets are effected and also to be not too destructive to infrastructure and property ...

Just a thought :D

EDIT - or if the graphic is an explosion ... then call it an accurate or pin point incenduary canister (spelling)

I was referring to how he looks, not the idea that the he's going to extremes to survive. His uniform, wetsuit, or whatever doesn't look like something your average island-dweller would have hanging in his closet.

Agree, mabey you could put some tares or whatnot in it

ah yes, well neither are the weapons but all of those things can be obtained and some may very well have those clothes and weapons "hanging in their closet" from their past. Like a soldier keeping his uniform as a civilian. I do "see" your point but the clothes are not an impossible thing for these "special" units.

Funny you mention that fe3333au...I was just playing around with using a Gas as the Attack for the cruise missle. Not sure what missile (IF any) people would want with all the discussion that has taken place but I agree that Gas would be a good way.

Well, maybe change the cruise missle, but still I doubt people would do that, as to the mini missle, It was used a lot in gulf war, and a mini-missle could be fired from a ships near the island.

Just replace them with a ship with bombardment capability? It would give the Authorities another toy, but probably not too destabilizing - on this scale even a destroyer should be quite powerful, but most of the important Buildings are several squares inland.
