Escape From Zombie Island 2 ready for public consumption

another slight error(only in the NY scene)...all the characters are named "Our Hero Hannible Smith"(Mr Tokugowa, Mrs Tokugowa, a few others)...and WHERE IS TIMMY's Dog?...

with a map as big as this, its so hard...Mr Tokugowa dies everygame(the resouce prob might be the reason) as he is alone and has no chance of reenforcement from outside...Id like to see more of the Chars start in the middle of the Zombie area instead of so far away...but even without ever being able to build badasses(maybe 1 out of 4 games) I enjoy the rapid demise of my "survivors"

if you have conquests, do you have the folder it references?...it should be in
Conquests---> Conquests ----->WWII in the pacific?
...I can zip it and send it to you via Email if youd like...Its a shame for someone to not be able to play what is easily my favorite mod...

@KA if you just tell me what to edit on the Biq, I wont have to d/l it

@Spacer One
Hmm colonies can already be built on top of buildings. I'll need to playtest this. If I can't get it to work I'll have to revert to the having resources appear only on roads.
@Hunter - Have you put the zip file in the Conquests\Scenarios folder and extracted it there?

@Spacer: I didn't get that far, I was still researching Guns Guns Guns. I did manage to take and hold the Fast Food Joint and Graveyard.

minor suggestions:
Add more buildings to get rid of the big patches of roads. It would make the roads more important, and look less cluttered.
Change the roadkill icon, or at least turn it sideways :p
Get rid of borders altogether. They aren't very important in this scenario anyway.

Ok I sussed out the colony resource issue - you can't have resources on Volcanos, which is what residential property is modified on. This seems to be a hard coded limit in the game. You can and should be able to build colonies on Commercial Property however.

Ahhhhhh I see...ok then its a game thing and not a mistake...kewl, Im gonna start another game...

Did I mention good work on a superb MOD?...if not, then let me do that now...
Actually I'm not sure now. If anyone can work out what the problem is then I'd be grateful. If you look on the attached image I have highlited tiles in red where it is not possible to build a colony and blue where it is possible to build a colony. It's late here and my thought processes are shutting down!!!!

IIRC you can't build a colony in your own territory. That would explain it, from the screenie.

btw another suggestion: I have unhappy zombie citizens telling me to stop the aggression against their mother country :crazyeye: If you give the zombie cities to other players, leave them undefended, place zombie units nearby, and make other civs skip the first turn, it will (a) prevent zombie citizens in captured cities, and (b) add an element of surprise that isn't there now.

that explains that then (smacks head on desk). Another problem though. You can build a colony on the residential property with the blue circle but the resource isn't available - probably because the road network doesn't link up - any ideas on this?

honestly, I would revert the Terrain and resources back to the last version, (I have the biq still) and see what changed...

IMO, its something to do with the roads...(In the NY scenario, stuff pops up in the HUGE territory controlled in central park, and I cant link it up either...I think its that there are no roads)

and when you build colonies in the last version, it didnt matter if there was road or not...like the one circled on the building on the right(red circle, scavanger standing next to it) the resource would link up...and if it was in your territory it would to...Ammo often would appear near the old folks home, and not be usable by the rest of my Survivors(as it was cut off by Hostpital and Graveyard), but the Old folks home could use it(even if no colony)

I just checked the biq- it's because roads aren't allowed on building terrains. When you build a colony, the road automatically appears under it like in a city, but in this case it can't. If you allow roads on all terrain you should be able to build colonies everywhere.

edit: the church isn't connected to any roads- is that intentional?
why no MGLs or battle-created heroes?

that would explain it then Weasel Op. I thought I had allowed roads on that terrain tho'? -need to check. And yes it's intentional that the church is isolated - it's also a good haven from Monster zombies.
