Essential mods

I just got Civ 5 in the Steam sale. Are there any essential interface mods? Any other good mods to know about?

InfoAddict and Civ V Unofficial Patch are essentials and mainly just fix bugs and improve the interface.

None that are essential; in fact any mod (even a UI only one) disables all achievements if you care about those.

The good mods are in the Project & Mod Development subforum.
In particular the Communitas Expansion Pack ones. (Unofficial patch is the UI only one. VEM is the one that improves the AI for Vanilla; GEM is the one that improves the AI for G&K)
