EU Question

Recently I lost my copy of Civ2, so I've started to play Europa Universalis again. However, usually about half an hour into a game, it just closes suddenly, but leaves the music playing. It also does this when I try to save a game. Thus, I've almost smashed the American colonies into nothing and then -poof- lost it all. Is there a patch for this or anything? Thanks.

what are the sys req.s?
I got a P2 Win98 350mhz etc...

also, can you play as poland in 1772? {or any time between 1764-1772, or before 1772 peroid} thats like be dream... to play as Poland, and try to fight off the partation. if I were better at naking Civ scenarios, I would make one about that
