EU3 Multiplayer

Well, alpav is late... If we only have 3 players, we might as well call if off unless alpav returns.

Turquoiside is here too, but I just PM'd him that you weren't here, and now I can't send a new message because he's maxed out his storage.

Interesting. I'm not too disappointed with how the Ottomans managed in my absence... claimed Defender of the Faith and wasted my war chest on that, but I kind of expected that to happen. I see that Austria and the Ottomans are now at war thanks to Naples? Seems like an over-zealous move on Naples' part. Is this war part of the reason the session ended relatively early?

I see The Rock is now British, as well... a little early for historically. But I'm sure England will appreciate it as a naval base. And, the Kalmar Union has fallen apart?

That isn't actually the most recent save, here it is.

Castille wanted Labourd, and I only wanted it as a naval base, so Castille gave me Gibraltar in exchange.

Anyway, the reason we stopped was because AI Burgundy did TOO good. They attacked France without our permission, and although it only took the stuff previously agreed upon in the partition, it worried us a bit...

Eventually, Castille, Austria, and I all warned Burgundy as a temporary measure until Billy got here. Later, I wanted to vassalize Scotland and Austria wanted revenge on Bohemia, both of which were protected by Burgundy. I made a deal with Austria: if Burgundy DoWs when Austria attacks Bohemia, I would attack Scotland. Burgundy DoW'd both of us and we ended up at war, followed by a (much reduced) France.

We stopped because we wanted to see if Billy would return to the constrains of the Anti-French League (now the Anti-French Region League because of the many released countries.)

First things first, dat Mazovia!

Even more interesting then, on the non-Ottoman fronts. You're right, Burgundy is doing really well. Looks like Castille did well in taking out Portugal, too, and Austria will be in good shape if they beat Bohemia and don't lose to Burgundy. And you've got Britain pretty much sewed up.

Looks like the Ottoman AI did about what I'd expect from an Ottoman AI in the last 12 years. Gained Epirus from Naples and Imerti from the hordes, failed to keep Malta. All the while, doing a poor job of managing inflation, and overspending on the army that hasn't done a whole lot. But, I can't complain too much - I see that I gained Tripoli in a PU six days game time after I last played. Didn't even see that the first time around.

I think I'm glad I'm coming back next turn. The AI didn't make too much of a mess, but certainly didn't do optimally, either.
