This is a poll about the games by Paradox (particularly EU) , which started as 2d, but now every title looks set to become (or already is) 3d.

I recall when i bought the original Europa Universalis. It was an amazing experience, and i do not believe i had ever played a game up to then which had so many computer factions.
EU2 was an improvement on all fronts, keeping the basic engine the same.

I tried EU3 but i was repulsed by the interface/map. It just didnt work for me at all. It seemed to be too alien.

Then i discovered For the Glory, which is generally EU2.5. A lot of improvement, but not enough (imo) to be a stand-alone successful title.

But enough of that. Now you can vote for your favourite EU game ;)

The original vanilla EU3 was rather forgettable, but with all the expansions, it has become a great game, not that I ever played EU2 though.

EU1 - never played
EU2 - vanilla wasn't so good, but with patches and AGCEEP it's one of the best games I've ever played
EU3 - good game as well, in some ways better than EU2 + AGCEEP, in some ways worse
For the Glory - essentially EU2 + AGCEEP, which means that FtG is one hell of a good game

EU3 with the expansions. Especially now that Divine Wind has upgraded the map. The graphics have come along way since vanilla.

Never played one, two was good but not great, and while I've never played FTG, I wasn't that keen on the mod it's based on (too rigidly historical), so it's definitely EU3, particularly with the Magna Mundi mod.

The graphics update is awesome, I love it.

I haven't played any of the other EU games, but I really enjoy EUIII and its expansions, they are highly addictive :)

Man, in theory, I love those Paradox games so much, but in reality, I never play them. I own a lot of them anyway... It's just, and I've said this again, I have no idea how to pace my game. I start the game, I understand all the concepts and all that... But, I freeze, I don't quite know how many decisions I am supposed to take, how much I am supposed to just let time go by itself. I always feel like if I'm not doing anything I'm losing. So basically I play a game for like 10 hours and only 15 years have passed even though I was in no war or almost no war.

(I've only played EUIII but it's my favorite Paradox game up to now).

Agreed. Magna Mundi is awesome. But I can't play it now because I got EU3/Divine Wind on Steam and there's no way to get back to HTTT. I mean, Divine Wind is good, but that sucks. Caveat emptor!
And the graphics in Divine Wind are actually somewhat of a downgrade after using the unbelievably gorgeous Hand Drawn Map mod that comes with MM.

I never played any of them except EU3, which was great.

Though, my interest has somewhat waned in it recently... I want to play it, but I just can't get myself to play it. But whatever, still had good times with it :)

Heh, I've not tried DW yet due to the lack of a new MM for it - I tried that with HTTT and after about 100 years or so of gameplay, I uninstalled it and went back to IN w/ MMP2, so I'm not gonna waste my time this time round :p
