Facing the need to free a culture group, I combined the European with the Mediterranean cultures. But im no graphical artist, best I could do was combine elements of different authors' work with some pixel editing here and there.
All credit goes to Red Alert, Aion (and Yoda Power who updated Aion's) and Skam0073, here's what I did:
Red Alert allready did a combined European set a few years ago, but I wasnt too happy with it. Still, the first 2 sizes in the ancient era are his and untouched, for the 3rd size I used Skam's. For the ancient walled I also used Skam's, the idea is, an ancient european civ that reaches a level capable of building stone walls will have higher architectural standards, so a size 1 walled city will look more similar to the larger size 3 city.
Most of the work went into the medieval age, I mixed Red Alert's medieval European set with one of Aion's, pasting elements of Aion's into Red Alert's in size 1 and doing the opposite in size 3. This translates into a mostly wood built village for size 1, but with more and more stone buildings for the larger sizes.
This will work for me, but if there's someone else willing to do better, please do!
