Expansions.

I hope they take my idea. I once created a thread on my expansion called:

Civilization 4: Uprisings!

It specializes in Civil War, Holy War, and Revolutions. You would coordinated taking power of your own Civilization with your philosophy or your power players. You could put in the American Civil War, the Roman Civil War (Rome and Byzantium), the Korean War, Vietnam War, Australian War for independence, Egypt versus Nubia, the Zulu versus the Afrikaaners and on and on.

Does "Mercantilism" Sound like a good idea for an Expansion Pack? It played a major role in the Middle Ages and Rennisance.

The game isn't due for another 3-4 months and your already worried about the expansions...

We should be debating what the first patch will fix. :D ;)

Wrong. Expansion is where they make most of their profits. The game is already developped. So they just add a few civs with UU's a few scenarios and voilà - pure profit for very little work.

Expansions usually are some kind of a rip off unless they add a totally new dimension to the original game.
Right. But i think one of the reasons why they arae letting it be so moddable is so they won't have to worry about it too much. Like they said, They have alot of new game ideas on their lists.
