this poll is to decide if we want to declare war on Persia. also, if we want to declare war, when should we do the declaring. poll is open 48 hours. please vote.

Discussion is here

We need to focus on France and Portugal first, once we have their territory the troops can be diverted to Persia. France have Muskets, the going could be slower than we have seen through Spain, don't jeopardise this war by forcing a declaration against Persia before we are ready.

Ditto Furiey and DS. First France, then Portugal, then China, finally Persia.

And that stage should be set by the end of next turnchat. Although, we'll need new polls on declaring war on China (we're already at war with Portugal), then declare on Persia.

BTW, we should ask a civ to attack France's last city.

Do 'em all at once, if only to add some excitement to this foregone conclusion of a game. This "one at a time" stuff is a cop-out for a nation of our power.

We really need to consider bumping it up to Diety next time out...........or incorporating some real world dilemmas to the game. Otherwise, it's just another by-the-numbers DG victory.

Next time will probably be a Civ 4 one. Or maybe one last one, just to give some time to acclimate ourselves to Civ 4, or god forbid it's delayed.

I think there'll be atleast one more demogame before Civ4. Besides, we'll have to wait for:

1 - Players to get the game.
2 - Players to get used to Civ4 strategies and such.

I can garuntee you that going into Civ4 with Civ3 strategies would result in a loss, just like taking Civ2 strategies into a Civ3 game. (Remember how ZoC didn't work like in Civ2, and stacks were done differently?)
