Yes, and our movies are not cut up nearly as bad, but considering how many American stations come into Calgary, it would be nice if they didn't keep ruining movies and shows by censoring them so much on their stations. Would make my experience more enjoyable.

But, it still won't make crappy shows good.

Does this mean the South Park movie won't have to be shown at one in the morning on Comedy Central anymore? ;)

Speaking of South Park, the episode where s*** was found to be a curse word aired today. Nice coicinidence.

:hmm: I suggest 'not'. ;) I can't imaging Thunderfall changing his mind on this one. :)

Are you kidding? He's got that avatar of a ship. I bet he swears like a sailor. :)

i think that some of the things the FCC does is un-constitutional. why should they stop TV shows from saying what they want? our First Ammendment prohibits this. it is the responsibility of the parent to make sure their children don't watch something bad. just because of some responsable parents, the government shouldn't ruin it for the rest of us. oh, and also, whats so wrong with seeing a nipple? NOTHING! Europeans righfully laugh at Americans for sensoring nipples. whats the big deal??? i've seen them in person, and i'm under 18, but you don't have the Feds fining the girls i have seen topless.

Hey I have a related joke for all of y'all. What word begins with 'f' and ends with 'uck'?

Give up??

Firetruck!!

What is a four letter word ending in 'unt' used to describe a woman?

Americans are sick of lending out their public airways only to be barraged by vulgarity and soft porn.

I like both of those things, I guess I'm not an American. Seriously though, does it make any difference, its not like kids haven't heard ****, ****, ****, ****, and **** before, and most people can tell what the word is from the context anyways.

Disgraceful. Those responsible should be beaten and put to the fire, and replaced by Pat Boone and Billy Graham.

CJAY is forced to censor only after 5(?) people have registered complaints.

that's **** great news, I am ****** amazed, you ****************** :)

Deffinately a step in the right direction.

I don't like this at all. But, as one person said, it should be up to the parents to censor what children watch, etc. The problem with this is you can have a perfectly fine television show with terrible, disgusting commercials that are totally inappropriate for children. This alway angers my wife and I.

Also, I have never seen a movie or show where the excessive use of profanity added to my experience. There are certainly situations that it can be quite hilarious or add to the mood, but for the most part it is a lack of creativity and originality. Attempting to shock the audience or somehow provide a "genuine" "real" experience. Please.

I know some of you think you're real geniuses for your "creative" use of expletives, but it just shows your ineptness at the use of language. :p

CJAY will play absolutely anything, just imagine if these new rules were to apply to radio. If you are going to listen to them, especially the morning show with Forbes, don't say I didn't warn you.

While I don't see it as the government's place to censor such things, kids don't need any more help with bad langauge. I hope that parents can show some responisibility here.
