Fairy Tale

That looks nice. I think this is something my PC can handle. Mountains with forests are non-issue to game play. I think it's normal for some mountains covered by forest :)

Something I noticed right away, because it's near my starting location is that near "Deadwhale Isl" (I love the naming of location!), there are two "ocean" tiles connecting the island to the mainland. I believe those two tiles should be "coast".

Have you considered requesting for your own sub-forum? I think you deserve one :)

Hm... I just found out that the Witch unit doesn't have cargo space for spell? Enchantress and Sorceress do though.

 Are you a mind-reader, Neko!? I requested my own sub forum from the CivFanatics staff YESTERDAY! Read the following post to see what is going on...

Yeah. I saw those two Ocean tiles too. They will be changed, and in the South of the map, in the Rainforest, there are a lot of mountain peaks covered with forests. I just don't think it looks nice.

The Witch is really the Fairy Tale form of Spy. The Sorceress and Enchantress do the same kind of job, but they are special units for their nations. So they get to carry spells as a bonus.

Thanks, Ono-Neko. :)

Such nations have to wait to get the Magician unit to be able to transport the spells. The Magician is also a powerful unit that can range bombard cities and enemy stacks and cause collateral damage. I really see him as a form of Fairy Tale artillery. Mages and Archmages work in the same way too.

I'm trying to load version 9 with the 9c update, and I keep getting XML errors that appear to have nothing to do with this mod. Errors about the infoclass being incorrect for the UN Peacekeepers and arranda's units! And then the game crashes.

Oh dear. UN peacekeepers certainly aren't a part of this mod... Try this.

The mod may conflict with Custom Assets. Try this. Find the Fairy Tale.ini file in the Fairy Tale folder where you installed it. It's right at the top under Mods/Fairy Tale. Open it using a text editor like Notepdad (just double clicking on it should do it). Find the lines where it says ; Custom Art from user folder is not loaded NoCustomArt = 0 and ; Custom XML and Python from user folder are not loaded NoCustomAssets = 0

Also do make sure you have all mods installed to their correct locations in Beyond the Sword folder in Program Files, and NOT in the MyGames folder!

Hi there Am In the first scenario

OK I've opened it and found those lines. What do I do with them?

Are you getting mails too from corporations which want to host your file or include it with some magazine CD?

No, actually I am not getting any such offers. Thank God really. Fairy Tale was once on a French magazine, but that's it. The bloke I wass in contact with was supposed to send me a copy of the mag too, but I never got one, which made me really pizzed, actually.

I read your post on the Polish website and your warnings about it, so I do keep my eyes open. :)

Change NoCustomAssets to 1, save it. Then run the game again.

I tried that and unfortunately it did nothing to change the situation. It's obviously conflicting with other mods I have in the mods folder, but I don't understand why.

Blue Senshi, that is strange (well, the whole thing is strange). Not sure what else you can try. It seems that you have other mods installed and they work fine, is that correct? Maybe try to re-install this mod. In the case of corrupted download, though, it seems unlikely issue, you may want to try to re-download too.

Hopefully other players may have some idea of what's going on.

Blue Senshi. Really weird. Do the other mods work OK?

I do hope that the mod is installed to the right location. Mods shouldn't be installed in the MyGames folder, but should be in the installation folder in C:/Programs/Firaxis/Civ4/Beyond the Sword (or something sounding like that). Just drag and drop the Fairy Tale folder in the Mods folder in there.

I don't have any problem with other mods. Version 9 is the only version I have ever downloaded and it is in the right location. I'll try redownloading it.
