I voted love them don't want to keep the game real, but, in reality (no pun intended) I would rather see the game realistic, and then get mods. Personally, I think Fall From Heaven is the coolest thing since electricity and William Shatner, but that's just me.

I think we all missed the point. His "fantsy" is not refering to "fantasy" mods but to "fancy" mods.

But really, I enjoy both historical, sci fi, fantasy, whatever mods, as long as they are good

Dont get me wrong, i love the regular civ.. thats what i play 95% of the time, However, the engine has SO much potential. And since people can mod things in, its a GREAT engine for fantasy stuff. We just dont have alot of them out yet,but the ones that we do .. aka fall from heaven are freaktasticly awesome. So my point is why would you want to exclude a genre from this awesome gameplay style when you dont even have to play it and it has no effect on your whatsoever?

Personally, I think the structure of your poll is biased, and your question generally bigoted. If you don't like Fantasy or Sci-Fi mods, don't D/L them. There is no call for you to start casting judgements implied or otherwise on other people's work. People make what they love, and others benefit from their largely selfless efforts. If you can't appreciate the work that people put into their mods, even if their genre doesn't appeal to you, the least you can do is to be quiet. I mean really... What are you thinking?

Well mine is very negative 8). Towards him. People should make whatever mods they feel inspired to author. If it speaks to them, they should realize their visions. And they should ignore folks who try to inhibit their dreams 8).
