In the world of tomorrow!!
I listen to the radio quite a bit. Now with the wonders of the internet and I-phone aps. One can listen to radio programs anywhere, from anywhere.

Here are a few I listen from the "Great Northwest". Both are on the same station: KISW

The BJ Shea Morning Experience

On from 6:00AM to 10:00AM PST

BJ Shea - Is from Boston, Massachusetts. Shea self-describes himself as a "proud sci-fi, baseball-loving, epicurean geek." A significant amount of the show's content involves BJ engaging in explosive rants often covering perceived injustices, gender equality issues, proper familial behavior and various sports/entertainment related themes. BJ also frequently derides his co-hosts and supporting cast for their gaffes and incompetence. However, BJ has essentially admitted that his short fuse with his co-hosts is at least somewhat shtick.

The other is on the same station:

The Men's Room

2:00PM to 6:00pm PSD.

The show discusses a variety of topics, usually with a "question of the day" inspired by the day's news. The show is hosted by Miles Montgomery and Steve "The Thrill" Hill. The two usually start the show by introducing each member of the show and saying the number of the current show, followed by bringing up a top news story, which they turn into a question directed at the program's audience, encouraging listeners to call in with their responses. Callers are taken live in between music segments that follow the introductory question.

Regular segments during the week:

*A popular daily segment on the show is "The Shot of the Day"- where Thrill reads a story that would make one laugh, usually people doing strange, stupid and/or ironic things. After the story is read, all the members of the show have one mockingly-honorary shot of alcohol, usually tequila.

*On Mondays, listeners send in emails that include "unspoken" rules for all men to follow. These rules are read aloud to the audience and then the cast votes on the rule; if a majority of the cast agree with the rule, it is added to the Men's Room Rules.

*On Tuesdays, the Men's Room has a segment called "Sit and Spin". In this segment, the crew gathers around their drunk in charge (DIC), Ryan Castle. Castle will usually be mocked by Thrill and is generally perceived as very unpopular. Castle will then bring in a list of music related information which he reads to the cast and then they all listen to the music and then laugh at it and Castle.

*On Fridays, the crew allows listeners to call into the show and tell the cast jokes with the segment called "Bad Joke Fridays". The jokes are usually very terrible and will cause the crew to either laugh at the stupidity of the joke or cause them to be speechless at how terrible the joke was.

*"TV Time with Ted", during which Ted usually gives random shout-outs to people he met the night before the show. Strangely, he hardly talks about TV programs because he is easily distracted by the crew, this leads to him having to squeeze in his selected favorites at the last few seconds of the show.

Any ones you listen to that may be interesting to others?

I only listen to three stations:

104.7 KDUX: A Classic Rock channel, really good music.

1450 KBKW: The Conservative station, has conservative talkers, and in the mornings it has a local radio show which is really nice to have in a small town.

1320 KXRO: Another local talk station, has Ed Shultz on a lot, and Coast to Coast AM, as well as Clark Howard and David Ramesy.

I really like radio, especially talk radio. I like listening to all those guys, and it's really nice to hear real local news, instead of Puget Sound news, like on TV.

Triple J is my main radio station. It generally plays modern alternative music, although they do have quite a bit of variety.

Triple M is my backup. It generally plays rock from the 80s-now, lately they've had a particular focus on 90s rock.

Mostly I only listen to NPR now. This area had some great classic album rock stations. But they're shadows of what they used to be. I can't stand listening to them more than intermittently now.

WMMS (Cleveland), "The Buzzard" was one of the great Rock stations back in the 70's and 80's, largely responsible for getting the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame to the North Coast, but has since been bought out by Clear Channel and is now just a wattered-down commercial station.

KMET (Los Angeles), "A Little Bit of Heaven, 94.7, KMET - Dweedle Dee", was another great FM Rock station in the 70's, but now it's gone. The 1978 film FM was based on KMET.

These days all my music comes from the Internet.

Me too, NPR radio is my main news source, with lots of classical music. But the legendary Rock stations all seem to be gone now...
