Favourite Computer Game of All Time

Sigh - All the old classics, neglected and forgotten by a generation of gamers who just want a sequel to a game they already have.

Games that broke the mould.....

Crowther and Woods : Adventure.
Brought the whole universioty to a standstill for weeks.
You are in a maze of twisty little passages. Ah the memories...

Pong, Space Invaders, Galaxians, Defender, Donkey Kong
Hours in the pubs and arcades.... real credibility

Elite, Philosophers Quest,
Proving the Beeb could have great games

Manic Miner, Jet Set Willy
Platform classics for the Speccy

Lemmings, Populous, Dungeon Keeper, SimCity
Original ideas that launched whole new genres...

Total Annihilation (still isnt a better MP RTS!)

Moo 1 and 2
Magic the Gathering
Games I still play after many years...

and of course CIV n

How many of the current favourites will still be played in even four or five years. Not many I bet. Improvements in graphics seem to have been accompanied by a steady deterioration in game play.

Back in my day .... (foams at the mouth and falls over backwards)

Arrrgh I forgot three of the greatest of them all:
ChampMan
Pirates!
Colonization

Deus Ex - But after finishing it there isn't much more to it.

I would like to see a Leveling up (like Diablo II) games but in Deus Ex form.

I'm currently playing through DX for the third time, still fantastic as ever. But wouldn't adding traditional 'levelin up' as in other RPG's defy the whole concept of a new breed of RPG that DX is?

Warlords II, Civ 2 - PC

Phantasy Star, Hang On - Sega Master System 8-bit

Super Mario Bros 2, Ice Climber, Punchout, Zelda - NES

Phantasy Star Online, Virtua Fighter 3 - Dreamcast

Well I have more favourites but those are the ones I can come up with now.

CIVILIZATION 1 (DOS version)

I think everyone knows why Civ 1 is the best

SUPER MARIO KART (Original SNES version)

Too much fun, the best racing game ever made

WIPEOUT (Playstation)

It just blew me away when i first played it. Every bit of the game was awesome, the controls, speed, graphics, sounds everything.

CivII:) The game I've played most
SimCity2000 and Transport Tycoon, both come on second place of games I've spent most time on
:)
I like SC3000 too

Civilization III. When Firaxis patches Internet MP, it'll be Civ 3: PTW.

Caesar III (much more detailed version of civ in a much smaller scale in real time)
SC3000Unlimited- Not as good as above, but still fun
Civ3-obviously
Starcraft- Legendary RTS
Diablo II- took away a year of my life
MOOII- Funny acronym

Not really.... most RPGs are not FPS, like deus ex.

I would like to see a FPS game, where you can get experience points and spend them on getting new skills, and get lots of new weapons and modifications for weapons...

The only thing i didn't really like about Deus Ex, was that the combat wasn't as smooth as other games, like HalfLife for example.
