custom continents, as it allows for balanced resources
what sense does it make for a civ to have a UU that requires a certain resource, yet not have access to that resource? I mean maybee rome would have developed bad ass archers instead of swordman if they didnt have such ready access to iron, makes no sense imo.
I continents also because I sincerly doubt we would have things like aircraft carriers in a world with a single landmass, maybee not.
Likewise I doubt we would have tanks in a archipelgro world, in this world the navy units would be more advanced, likewise in a pangea world the land units would be.
Geography and resources played a huge role in the development of technology.
