I changed my governments so that the options (apart from Anarchy) are Feudalism, Despotism, Republic, and Totalitarianism. Totalitarianism basically functions like Communism, but it has greater corruption than any other modern government. Republic is like a cross between the old "Republic" and "Democracy", and it has high war weariness and trade bonus (I thought it was silly to make a separate government called "Democracy" because direct democracies are really a result of temporary anarchy only, they result in either the establishment of a Republic or a Dictatorship). Despotism, meanwhile, is like Monarchy, but I changed the name to Despotism so that non-monarchical regimes like military dictatorships or theocracies would also fall under the umbrella. Feudalism replaces Despotism and functions about the same, only with a science output limit of 50 so it's more important than ever to switch to a different government as soon as possible. My idea of Feudalism is the kind of society where the central government is really weak and the wealthy and powerful run the country as they please.
It doesn't really make sense to make a government called "Oligarchy", since there's no difference between an "Oligarchy" and certain types of Republican, Totalitarian, or Despotic, or Feudal Systems.
