Hello, i am very intersted to test a big mod, but before i would like to be sure i have good understand few points:

1 What version of ffh2 i need to use them? The last version (0.30), the last patch (g patch) or anothers, and if anothers, where i can found them?

2 What mod do you advise me? The Blaze mod looks excellent, but the svartalfar mod too, and the mode "raise of mania" look great too. I would like a mod where i can fight a more intelligent AI, a mod wich dont take more ressources of my processor, and a mod which is balanced if possible.

Thank you to advise me.

Here is an installation Guide

My advice would be to start with just Fall from Heaven 2.30, which is what that guide will help you set up. So far there aren't any mod-mods which enhance the AI for this version, but I don't have all of the file locations for the last stable version which did (I think) have some AI tweak mod-mods (that would be FfH 2.23 patch c with the Smarter/Wiser Orcs mod-mods).

If you are completely new to the mod, the AI is on par with you, so it will still be a challenge to get used to things. Once you have played for a while you may want to set up the option to remove building requirements from the AI, then they get a bit better still.

I find that a good way to make up for the AI handicap is to start a custom game and group them in small teams rather than turning up the difficulty. With two or three AI leaders on a team, they research very fast, but build at a normal rate. You might want to pick which civs are teamed up if you don't want to see a lot of strange combinations of good and evil civs on the same team.

I also use the no building reguirements for AI option. This stops them from having stacks of warriors or hunters in every city even though they have the tech to build better units (but are not smart enough to build the prereq buildings). Without building requirements, the AI gets to building new units a bit faster too. This can be a nice option to make the AI a bit more challenging.

Unfortunatelly, there is no way to get the AI to use magic properly. The AI seems to like to spam adepts and low level deciple units and use them as warrior alternatives. It's really a shame that there are so many features going into this mod, and the AI doesn't know what to do with them.

Thank you mens. I think i better understand the way i need to do now. My problem it is that svartalfar mod, for example, need an old version of fth. I have tryed to follow the instructions of the installation guide, but it does not works, so i think i really need an older version.

I will apply yours two advises. Thank you. If you have new advices to install svartalfar mod, or BlazeMod, i will be happy to read them.

You would need an older version to run the Svartalfar mod, but most of that stuff was implemented in 2.30, the few things that are incorporated for the new mod that weren't already put in (like the Svartalfar race) can be found Here, plus quite a bit more.
