FFH games of the month?

For civ4 I generally prefer competative single player to MP, but I haven't seen any gotm style competitions for ffh anywhere. Does anyone know if there is one somewhere? If there isn't does anyone want to try playing one here?

How about multiplayer, with AIs, SP settings, just on same map. Maybe no attacking each other.

There is none that I know of. The lack of a cheater-resistant mod like the HoF mod for Civ 4 kinda hurts the situation too.

i dunno thats not a downside if the whole things informal and honor system

People seem to like making maps for this mod.
Conceivably, we could have a 'share the map' game of the month where different people all play the same map/leader and at the end of their game they could all compare notes.
it wouldn't be competitive (you could even allow people to play at different difficulties) but you would get the chance to compare different strategies on the same map/leader.

Also, it would give the map-makers a venue to share their work...

The problem is that this mod is in heavy development. Patches come out quite frequently and at least some break saves. When a new version comes out or a new patch then every one wants to have it and this breaks the concept of gotm idea.

There were such games here, some started pretty interesting but I think all died quite quickly.

It's been done 3 times, as Valis says. There isn't a formal administrator set up; if you want to start one, go ahead. I think you might have a month before a new version comes out, though I can't say for sure.
