Food doesn't decay.
if there is a reference to food decay somewhere its because i was originally intending for that sort of mechanic then thought it would be boring and too much math.
Your food doesn't decay.
Point out where i suggest otherwise and i'll try to fix it.

Ha, it was precisely because I didn't want to wade through 27 pages again that I asked. I think it was brought up in the first 7 or so pages but never elaborated on, so I doubt anyone else will get confused.

Yeah. I think that was a good sacrifice of realism in favour of gameplay :goodjob:.

To the Glorious King Kejol, 7th Grand Crafter of the Luchuirp People.

I, General Kallo of the 'Als, have responded to your emissary with a magnanimous offer of goodwill. The Hallowed people are residents of the 'Als. However, a handful of them, about 200, wish to accept your offer of citizenship and desire to resettle in your lands. They have a single concern, that they wish for their Great General to protect them as they make the treacherous journey through the now unpredictable Hallows and make their way to your capital. I myself have reason to appear in your court to establish an embassy and myself as an ambassador of my nation to your people. Will you accept this olive branch?

To General Kallo, leader of the Grand Army of the Als,

I thank you for your prompt response and apologize for my late one. Quite simply, your generosity has taken us by surprise. Even my most optimistic advisors had not anticipated your people’s complete change of nature. It has been difficult for me to find time to write to you, since I have been very busy preparing for your arrival.

The Luchurip nation is glad to hear that you have freed the Hallowed and we happily await the arrival of those who wish to migrate to our territories. Although we do have plans to help the Hallowed resettle their ancestral homelands of “The Hallows” we do not yet have the funds to do so. Therefore, we ask you to lead those freed Hallow or Dwarven slaves to Luceido, where they can live until we have completed the preparations to build a new province of the Luchuirp nation in “The Hallows”.

We do not object to you bringing an army to protect the ‘Hallowed’ but we do ask that your soldiers camp outside of Luceido. Although the majority of our populace is reasonable enough to respect your people’s apologies for past actions, there is a small portion that might react violently to the presence of Als troops in the city streets. In order to avoid any such incident, my golems have prepared an assembly area approximately 1.5 kilometers south of Luceido’s southern gate. I will meet you there and lead you to our capital. We request that your army camps at the assembly area until we have concluded our talks.

I have much more policy to discuss with you, particularly the Luchuirp’s territorial claims to the “Broken Tooth Woods” and “The Hallows” but my message is already quite long and those discussions can wait until you are enjoying the hospitalities of our capital.

Your gracious host,
King Kejol, 7th Grand Master Crafter of the Luchuirp People

In case anyone's wondering, my lack of response to Master and/or hbar is intentional, not simple laziness.

On the other hand, I've been too busy lately to update my country stats like you wanted, Immac. I'll get to it eventually, hopefully even this week, but I have two exams (Thur/Fri) so you'll understand if I don't manage it.

If you want to invent a flag for your nation, that would be pretty cool too (and i'll reward you with one stability or 15rp towards culture tech (your choice)- assuming your design makes at least a bit of sense and looks better than 'absolutely horrible') (i ripped one off for the kuriotates but you need to make or find an original one if you want the bonus)

If you invented a flag for your nation, don't forget to mention which of the two rewards you would like when you write your orders.

EDIT: no problem Orange: good luck with the lasers!

I.

I've started it but its still pretty early. If everyone can get their orders in by not too late tomorrow i can probably get it out tomorrow night.
You definately wont get your stats this week though.

Wait, lasers?!? I thought I was the only scientist here

Don't worry, hbar, you still are - I'm a poor engineer forced into taking Modern Physics by the jerks that figure out requisite classes. I'd rather be building something, or even - God forbid! - take a writing class. Mod Physics jsut isn't worth it, although I'll admit it makes me feel really, really smart when I can talk about black-body radiation, the Schrodinger equation, the Bohr model, etc.

I have orders from:
  • Amurites
  • White Mist Elves
  • Kappa
  • Sheim
  • 'Als

If you submitted your orders but aren't on that list, please resubmit your orders with the correct subject line.

Thanks.

EDIT:

Previously many nations had been 'hidden' because they were NPC and the player nations didn't know where they were (for example, no one knew that the White Mist Elves existed or that the 'Als territory extended as far as it does).
But now that they are all player civs, its time to reveal their borders along with all the other player civs borders.
Here is the newest incarnation of the map. Its a little crowded but its my first time making a map like this from scratch and its going to have to do.

Immy, you don't tell me my tech progress in stats.

Just noticed.

Its under 'national notes' (cell F11 i think). You said to research X. I put all your research points towards it- its not complete yet. You have Y points researched out of a total of Z.

(Pssst... I used terms X,Y,Z to confuse the other players- your research is a secret)

How do we know what our nation's beeline tech is? Is it something we are assigned or do we choose it?

Edit: Also, is it possible to invest in a research category, but decide to ignore a tech on one branch that has already been discovered? Ex. Research in Food and Growth but opt to ignore fishing and other techs on its branch.

Bee-line tech is decided by you (in conjunction with the moderator).

Ignoring a tech- this is interesting and i had not considered it. You manage to come up with some very interesting ideas MoD. I will allow it provided the nation has the linguilism technology.
