OOC: I thought you are at 32/36? You guys moved again? Jesus...

IC:
And it isn't a faith! It is a truth!

OOC: Hippus can have 38 but I will have to have 37 or else: I shall not trade with you guys.

The map will be updated once i get everyone's orders. I am still missing two players set-ups and a bit of information for one other player (choose that second tech man!)

To the Grigori

We do not border region 38. We would suggest that we have region 37 and the Grigori region 38, after all, this region also borders the lake central to your faith, and in fact controls more of it then region 37.

We believe this is far more reasonable.

To Northern Nations

Greetings from the Second Empire! We suggest our three nations attend a summit to discuss the dividing of Northern Erebus between us.

I ask forgiveness for my messangers' mistake, (glares at the 17 year old, he hungs his head.) I shall attend this summit.

OOC: Sorry guys. But I must have 38. or else my people will rebel and invade. :(

Preposterous! The Grigori have huge areas to expand into to the South and East, you have no need for 38. I'm sure it's owner will allow your pilgrims passage to visit the holy site, however.

OOC: The Summit I was describing was between the Bannor, Amurites and Hippus. I wouldn't clasify you as being in the North :p.

OK. Then: to the future owner of Province 38, of which we already are in alligence with the natives: we see free borders of pilgrimage for our men and beautiful women. If you can't hold a open border and a trade route with us then keep Province 38 in peace.
Signed
- Various Inspired of those who sensed and understood part of Cassiel (in a much better wording :p)

Thank you for resolving that: now 38 is free and 37 can be Hippus: I need another colonizational target.

To: The Bannor Council, The Hippus Leaders
From: Thomas Kylorin's Kin.

We would be interested in this summit, and would be happy to host it in Cevedes. As such, representatives from the Hippus and Bannor people are cordially invited to Cevedes.

@ Immaculate. before i decide how to spend my remaining gold, can you tell me what tech i have?

OOC: *sigh* No, 37 is going to me. 38 is going to the Hippus. Did you actually read my post? :crazyeye:

The Far Bank Talks
Year 47 IT

The weeks of diplomatic intercourse with the Empire of Bannor and Peoples of Hippus turn sour as various inept messangers bungled their speach. 38 is beyond possibility of recovering as the Hippus demandd it for their expansion and as a buffer territory. 37 was lost due to a extremely inept messanger Retna. Finally, Retna tried to join the Grigori into northern Summit Talks, to the laughter of them, for Grigeri is one of the southernmost Civilization.

Finally, after a minor suggestion, Terna the Inspired wrote up a contract for the future owner, most likely Bannor, takes Province 37. It includes: Open Borders and at least 1 route to Grigori for the Pilgrims. Also is the freedom of the lake of Cassiel to be of no Parties. All the inspired leaders then signed the contract to be sent to the four other leaders. It is hoped that in two hundred or so years, that if it is still uncolonized they will forget and forgive the incidents and let them colonize it themselves. The contract is still pending.

OOC: I did, and it is free for you!

The hippus are demanding R38, the Bannor(!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) are demanding R37. [pissed]

OOC: How can we trade isolated from others?

Finally, I wanted 38 to dominate central trade. But that is now inpossible. As is the idea of a buffer zone: Invasions will meet the capital first then a easy mop-up :(

And now info time:

Hippus
Capital: Altheriol-ta-Mealthiel (territory 35) right next to the bend in the river (on the northern side of the bend)
Research: Exploration and trade, and Military
Expand to 38 and build the city Conrond Mor, connect the two with roads
Create two farms and appropriate workforces in the captial and one in Conrond Mor.
Bank the rest.

Please let me know what I got wrong.

Info: As the Ice faded the plains returned, and with the plains people return as well. The men of this land call themselves the Hippus and are a proud people who unlike most of the civilized nations still follow the semi-tribal ways of their ancestors as they love their freedom. The people of Hippus follow the highly unorganized religion centered around Tali which gives them their love of freedom, need for adventure, and willingness to try anything at least once. This also leads to difficulties in creating a stable, united government until the Chieftain Tairadus (see below) was able to organize a council of tribal leaders to make decisions for their people.

Chieftain Tairadus:

Tairadus walked through the tent where the other Chieftains were waiting. As he entered he studied the looks their faces, he saw mostly boredom and disgust which was he expected, what he called them here for went against most of what they believed, but what surprised him was he saw a bit of anticipation on their faces.

"Welcome, leaders of the various tribes of Hippus people, I ask you to lend be your ears for a moment, let it be known that this meeting has been called out of necessity not to destroy our ways. Reports are coming back that nations are forming as the Ice fades and they are organizing under single leaders and if we are to prosper we must do so as well, so I propose we unite under a council of Chieftains to make decisions on the scale of all are people, now what are your thoughts?"

The noise of the arguing is said to have reached both the Amurite and Grigori lands.

To The Bannor Council
The Council of Chieftains will send a representative of our people in the effort to remove confusion and foster better relations.

The Northern Summit

This is the Bannor's proposition. It is of course open to negotiation.

Pmap 1.png

We think this will be quite a fair division, 4 regions each.

Let me see if I got this straight:

I increase my population to two.
That increases my income on its own.
Now I have 4 skilled labor slots.
And also max 2 slots of one kind.
Okay?
Then I buy land clearance and village. For them to work, I need to buy one domestic WF and one agriculture.
Can I build two villages, and buy another domestic WF?
And if I can't, there isn't use in increasing population, as I can work village and agriculture by single pop? Besides 1 gold income of course.

May I advise you to trim down some rules, while you can ;) Some rules work great for video game but not for nes. You will easily have over 20-30 cities. Managing costs of pop growth for each one and then labor ammount is not advisable. Just a precaution. ;)

One concern the Hippus have is claiming the island you propose that I take. I'm not sure the Grigori would be pleased with it and it would take some time for me to acquire.

I am certain the Grigori will comply.

OOC: I have a feeling that region will be worth your investment, what with it being all isolated like that. It's bound to have some good resources or whatever on it.
