FFH2 in BTS!

FfH2 currently takes place during the "Age of Rebirth" which follows the "Age of Ice." I'm guessing that the FfH scenario takes place during that Age of Ice, which several civilopedia entries describe. This means that the game could be significantly different compared to anything we've yet seen! I'm hoping that one way to beat the scenario is to help Kyorlin and the pre-Amurites end the Age of Ice.

Ahhh Ok I was thinking that Shadow was last and Ice was next.
I had gotten the ages mixed up with the phases and thought that the Magic Age was Fire.
Thanks for the heads up before I get too exited lol

Actually I am already stoked that FfH is in BtS and that the team has been working on it for more than a year. Whatever it is it will likely occupy most all of my freetime and then some time that should be spent doing other things. I can't wait!

Very nice! Sometimes I Love being wrong. This scenario sounds very cool
indeed! And I am glad that there is still soooo much more to experiance in FfH.

Thank you Nikis-Knight for that article link. I wasn't expecting that bonus for days!

So THAT's why the Amurites and Doviello got the first flavour-warrior.

I wonder if Kylorin will be like a super-Govannon.

I bet that the scenario has magic sans mana nodes, and magic skills have to do with Kylorin's level or some other indicator of Scenario progress.

Also, Light, Fire, ICE, Shadow. :P

Will there be other familiar civs? I saw an Ice Golem and me thinks Luchurip, who were the last surviving tribe of the once great surface Dwarf Empire. (Memory is kinda sketchy, its in the 'pedia.)

Also, Light, Fire, ICE, Shadow. :P
More like:
Light, Fire, Ice preview, Shadow, Ice. :)
We're very happy to be bringing you something that people unfamiliar with Fall from Heaven can enjoy, while long-time fans will also find brand new, but filled with fun references to the world they are familiar with.

Yeah, you are right ! In fact, the three first civ to have flavour units made only for them are Doviello, Armuties and Illians. You know why now ;)

The Ice scenario is like Christmas in summer :xmascheers:

Wow nicely done guys! That scenario looks awesome. Can't wait to play it.

:hammer: works harder on cIVRPG

I also like that this Scenario capitalizes on the fact that FFH has so much more flavour in the "Sparse City-States/Small Nations" than in the "Crowded Empires" stage of the game.

What the Random-Gen FFH needs is more late-game exploration and frontiers. Which may appear as areas designated at game start not to contain any Civs or Barbs, surrounded by true impassables, and then revealed by global warming, or other such things.

Basically, script-generated versions of the Map Features seen in the FFH AoI preview. OF course this would all have to be post-BTS.

Holy crap, that blizzard stuff sounds amazing. I can't wait to play this, and the expansion as a whole.

Speaking of, will FFh be made compatable with the new expansion? I know it wasn't bothered with for Warlords because that one didn't have much to offer, but BtS looks really really good.

Man do I hope to see that blizzard effect as a ritual..

Will the "colonization" feature of BtS (allowing some of you cities to branch off into other civs who start as your vassal states) be introduced into FfH.

I could see Ljosafar and Svaltafar being able to break off from each other, Malakim possibly from either, Sidar from Malakim, Luchuirp from Kazad, and Doviello and The Clan from the Barbarians, if this is possible. Kael probably knows best as to who should branch from whom.

It would be awesome if barbarian trait leaders could begin as vassals of the barbarian state and could engage in diplomacy with them. For the purposes of this diplomacy, the leader called barbarian who looks like Sid Mier should be replaced by Orthus. I would also like it if the barbs were given some traits, like aggressive and raiders, but would lose them when Orthus dies just like Infernal and Mercurians lose their traits.

I can say almost for sure that you're wrong, just because the next phase of development would be "Shadow", not "Ice", so it must be just a scenario... I doubt Kael and the Team could have made the remaining 2 phases for BtS...
After all, we'd never make two whole phases without some feedback from our favourite community, now would we?

wait, you said FAVORITE community, does that mean your hiding some secret community from the rest of us that comes up will all your ideas we thought that you came up with? and i thought i could trust you!!

Well, you should have the inside scoop on my secret dungeon of idea-giving orange midget slaves, being an oompa-loompah and all. I thought you guys talked to each other.

Chat says there's a scenario called "Age of Ice".

Uhm, if I'm not wrong Age of Ice is a scenario for Civ4 Vanilla...
